I am the THIRD owner of this Absolutely beautiful vehicle! Can I say "Louise" as I fondly call her, just "floats" down the highway! VERY LOW Mileage!! Just Over 63,000 actual miles!
Why am I selling her? I just acquired another Cadillac! My wife told me one of my "Old Girls" had to go!I asked her "What do you think you are worth?" That didn't get me anywhere! This car, according to my Maaco guy has never been in a wreck!Original Blue Velvet seats, headliner-both in fantastic condition, windows- ALL work well! and a power draw down trunk. Have the VERY important "key" that unlocks those Original Chrome Wheel covers too!
SINCE we have owned her, we have done the following to her:NEW $1700 + paint with 2 K/URETHANE (tm) coating for protection.4 NEW white wall tires (have 1000 miles on them!)NEW Vinyl roofTune upNEW carburetorA/C tune up, had a leak- repaired-Blows cold!Air filters, any belts or hoses that needed changed- DONE!New rear brakes, rotorsFront end alignedNEW batteryEVERY interior light bulb and exterior light bulb Works!
What I do know that is wrong:Rear bumper had just a couple of rust holes. Had them filled, sanded out. You have to look for them.Radio needs to be repaired/replaced. When my brother-in-law put in a cassette, it stopped the radio from working- had been working fine, but now when you turn on the radio, it "clicks" like a tape is still in it.The cruise control has never worked for me. I never use cruise, so for me it was not a big thing. The gas gauge will sometimes work, sometimes not. At honestly 12 miles to the gallon in Louise, I just set the mileage marker and again, knowing her engine runs great is VERY important to me. She just had a oil change done. I had her looked over real good.
