This rare 454 SS convertible is the real deal with factory air conditioning & has a NMN 454 big block engine. automatic transmission & 12 bolt rear end. The body appears super straight & solid without any rust. The only rust I found was on the rear outside floorboards. This SS is a wonderful bases for anyone looking for an easy project car. which would not be very challenging for a beginner & would be perfect for a father & son team. This is a super rare 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport 'SS' big block 454 factory air Convertible the "real deal" needs to be completely restored /repaired. This SS show car was recently a victim of a tragic incident. an electrical fire caused extensive damage to the interior including the dash destroying many of it parts. This vehicle is being sold as-is. I have no parts to include. unless otherwise stated. however I have located all parts needed if you need assistance in gathering them just let me know. A clean title will be provided without any branding. If I don't sell this SS. then I will keep it & give it another frame-off restoration. Exterior was Factory Mulsanne Blue with White Top. Stripes were probably black. Interior is Black with bucket seats. Actual mileage is unknown. Its needs include but are not limited to: a windshield. all new wiring. convertible top. all new interior such as carpet. door panels. steering wheel. maybe a column. complete 100% dash kit which includes dash housing. nbsp;pad. gauges & harness. Also note that one of the quarter glasses is slightly chipped. The fire did not spread into the trunk area however the firemen used the pick axe to open the trunk (wished they had asked for the keys :) so a trunk lid will be needed. They also used a pick axe on the hood so it is too damaged to use so I bought an used original GM hood with no rust to replace the old. There was only minor fire damage under the hood. as a result the engine compartment will need full restoration. but the engine can be started. This nonmatching numbers SS could easily be restored or built radical. Whatever you choose. have fun! supersport
