**NO RESERVE!! HIGHEST BID WINS!!**You’re looking at a 1976 Chevy Van G20 Shorty Van. Original California Van with documents and the original sales contract. Bought new at Tom Carrell Chevrolet in San Fernando. CA. I have the original temporary identification slip for a new vehicle. the labels (stickers) they used for warranty work. original owner’s manual. warranty folder. sales and distribution certification. federal odometer mileage statement (new vehicle) deposit receipt for down payment. 1976 maintenance schedule pamphlet and seven old registrations showing the same owner from 2/24/1976 up to 1982. It’s definitely a California van. The odometer reads 45. 18 but the actual mileage is unknown. One of the original blue license plates is on the van but is no good (can’t be used). Here is a list of things I have done to the van since I have owned it: Installed new deluxe side marker lights Installed new carpet and lower door panel carpet Installed new rear brake drums. wheel cylinders and shoes Installed new front rotors and pads Installed new turn signal switch Installed new motor mounts Installed new tune-up parts. spark plugs. ignition. cap and rotor Installed new oil filter and oil Installed new alternator and alternator fan belt Installed new water pump. thermostat 180 degrees and gasket and 1 gallon of antifreeze Installed new exhaust manifold gaskets Installed new transmission filter. gasket and vacuum modulator Installed all new rubber fuel lines Installed new battery Installed new fuel pump Installed new valve cover gaskets Installed new P. C. V. Installed new chrome lug nuts The paint job is probably 15 years old or more. I’m guessing. I had it professionally buffed out and it came out good. I would call it driver quality. It has some dings. scratches. small dents. and imperfections but shines nice. Small bubbles on the roof (as shown). The quarter is to show the actual size. No rust holes underneath or in the rain gutters. only surface rust. Very hard to find a van with no rust in the rain gutters. All the glass is good. The door glass rolls up and down nice. The rear doors have factory optional pop-out windows. The van has 15x6 and 15x10 old school S/S Cragars with T/A Radials. The wheels are in good shape. The fronts have minor peeling around the lug nuts. The tires have plenty of tread but are older. I think they’ll be good for a while. The wheels are a uni-lug pattern. No rips in the seats but they do have some small stains. They swivel and recline all the way flat. The dash is in good shape. not all cracked up. It looks like the engine cover bumped into the lower dash (above the latch) on the passenger side and made a small crack. The engine cover is nice. no cracks. The radio does not work. All the factory gauges and speedometer work. Even the cigarette lighter works. The windshield wipers. heater and emergency brake all work. Very nice chrome grille. The bumpers are straight and shiny. The engine is a 350 that runs great. No smoke. no noises. The transmission is a Turbo 350 three speed automatic. It shifts well. The rear end is stock and in good condition with 3. 40 gears. That has been completely drained and refilled with new gear oil. It has dual glass packs exhaust and sounds good. No leaks. no holes in the mufflers. “THE IMPORTANT PART” The van is a G20. also called a heavy half ton. GM installed an extra spring in the rear and bumped up the GVWR to 6400 lbs. So as far as smog equipment goes. this van only requires a smog / air pump. air tubes and charcoal canister. It does not need a catalytic converter or an EGR valve. I have all the pieces (except the belt) that are required for it to pass smog for California residents. They are not installed (as shown in the picture). If you’re out of state. you don’t have to worry about smogging the van. So to be clear. the van in its present condition will not pass a California smog test. To sum it up. I have a clean California title in non-up status (no back fees). It is hard to find a van that is not rusted out or beat up from the inside out. It’s a great van to customize or use as a hauler the way it is. surfboards. vintage motorcycles. etc. It would be very cool for a shop truck or swap meet truck. put your business name on the side or some old school mural or graphics.
