Ultra rare 1967 SS 396 Convertible. This car is a VERY exacting replica of the Indy Pace Car Camaro used in 1967 when AJ Foyt won the Indy 500. While it is an original SS 396 Convertible Camaro it is NOT a numbers matching car and was not originally a Pace Car - HOWEVER- This car was such an exact replica of the original 4 Pace Cars that Chevy delivered to the Indy Motor Speedway (which were returned and exchanged for automatics as the 4-Speeds were just too wild and fast according to the drivers that year) that it WAS used at the Indy 500 in 2007 and carried AJ Foyt and Tony George (then CEO/owner of the Indy Speedway) in the parade leading up to the race. At the end of the parade AJ Foyt actually signed the driver's side visor and his autograph is still clear on the visor today. The car comes with pictures and video of the car in the Indy Parade carrying AJ and Tony in the parade. The windshield still displays the official Indy Motor Speedway track pass. The first generation Camaro SS 396 4-speed Convertibles were extremely rare even in their day and almost impossible to find today.
