1953 GMC/ Chevy Bagged Patina Truck

This is Marigold. She is a 1953 GMC pick-up that is like no other. This truck was built from the frame up. The chassis is custom built with an IFS front cross member. disc brakes. power rack and pinion. all new ball joints. tie rods. 2 inch drop spindles. bushings. and new A-arms. Rear has a 10 bolt posi rear end with 4 link bar set up with 2600lb air ride suspension bags and new shocks all the way around. Air ride is ½ valves and lines with 2 Via air 480C compressors to supply the 5 gal stainless air tank. The frame has been fully boxed and painted gloss black with all suspension components painted a marigold yellow. Fuel cell is a 17 gal stainless cell mounted under the bed and has custom lid to access making filling up easy. The motor is a BBC 454 with a turbo 400 transmission. Has new seals. plugs. wires. power steering pump. steering joints and dd rod. high torque mini starter. billet transmission cooler. Custom headers wrapped in tan header wrap into 2 Flowmaster mufflers that really make it sound great. New brake master cylinder and pedal assembly with new 3/16 brake line which makes it stop on a dime. To keep her cool she has a Ron Davis racing radiator and new electric fan with billet over flow tank. The body of the truck sports a combo of patina and satin to really make her stand out. the black body pieces have been body worked and shot in a PPG DP90. the yellow patina is was sanded smooth and shot in a high solids clear coat which preserves the paint while making it pop. Custom touches are the bumper and the HID head light kit which really set off the front end and give it the unique look no one else has. The bed floor is made out of pine wood sanded and burnt then treated with a satin clear to protect. The inner rear fenders are made from factory rear fenders to give them the same contour and flow then shot in PPG DP90 making them look killer. New front and rear glass was installed with the original corner and side glass with new seals. Interior has been shot with the same PPG DP 90 and matched up with new pad and carpet. door panels. a set of bucket seats. New tilt column and steering wheel to match the new electronic Omega gauges. a red top Optima battery and new wiring harness. The truck sits on a set of new staggered 22 & 20 inch Iroc wheels.
