This is the original 1937 Chevy Coupe called "The Playmate". The original owners were Clifford White and Butch McCloud. This car ran the drag strip in Florida from 1959 through part of the 70's at Tinsville. Buckingham Airfield. Tampa Drag Way and more. We have trophies and pictures from this era. This car has been sitting untouched ever since her last run. She has all the original steel body parts. even the original black paint. and original Playmate on rear fender. Has the original sticker on glass. She has been restored as close to its original look as possible. It has all new bushings and king pins. Turn signals. brake lights. headlights all work; new wiring. New seats. All new brakes. brake lines. and master cylinder. All new bolts in body parts; new front and door glass. All new rubbers and seals. Has new filters in glass tracks. The motor is a 1964-67 Chevelle 327 Hi-Pro - all rebuilt. Has the 2 x 4 intake from the 1960's-70's and carbs. Has a real nice sounding cam. Has the double hump heads and the old school aluminum valve covers. oil pan. fender wells. headers and glass pack muffler with 350 Turbo Hi-Pro trans and a 3. 00 stall. Has gasser-style ladder bars. rebuilt GM Posi-track rear end. New aluminum radiator. Does not get hot on the street. Runs 170F at 2. 00 RPMs or sitting at the lights. Has a 15-gal aluminum gas tank in trunk. New front and rear tires and new Craiger wheels. All parts on car have less than 100 miles on them after the rebuild. Car drives well on the street.
