Chevy, Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, Black, leather, Automatic, C5, 5.7L,

My father is selling his 2002 Chevy Corvette Convertible. It's a gorgeous car inside and out. C5 5. 7L V-8! Runs and drives 100%. This car needs nothing. It's black on black and has roughly 49. XX miles on it. He has clean title in hand. But here's the kicker. This Corvette was apparently a total loss due to a flood in 2002!! Carfax never started reporting it until 1-06-2013!! My father bought this car on 6-21-2012!! So you can see there was a serious discrepancy here. We have been in contact with Carfax as well as the DMV to see if there was a glitch and if it could be removed or if it was truly a total loss from 2002 why did it take until 2013 for it to be reported. ?? We called the local Chevy dealers to see if it reads as a total loss in their system and (IT DOES NOT)!! Either way we cannot get a straight answer from anyone and well unfortunately for my father he is going to lose a lot of money on the sale of this car.
