Dents. Dings. and some broken ground effects Faded previously red paint has been covered with removable plasti-dip coating Thank you for your interest in my 1990 Camaro RS 5 Speed. I am the third owner of this vehicle and I have owned it for about 2 years now. When I purchased the vehicle private party. the previous owner had informed me that he had owned the vehicle for the past 10 years. The previous owner informed me that he had purchased the vehicle from the original owner and that it was already a salvage title when he purchased it in 1993. He did not know exactly why it was a salvage title. but he informed me that the vehicle had only ever had one problem: A worn syncro (or synchronization) plate. The syncro plate works to match the speed of the clutch to the speed of the drivetrain during upshifts and downshifts. The previous owner and I both found that it is completely possible and quite simple to drive the vehicle daily even with the worn syncro plate. I have included a video of me driving the vehicle as to demonstrate the vehicles drivability. https://youtu. be/jOFqZw_NVJk Since I have owned the vehicle. I have replaced the battery and the radiator. Recently. I encountered a leak from the thermostat housing (upper radiator hose connection). I found that the bolts holding the thermostat housing onto the intake manifold had completely rusted away. leaving me with no way to attach a new thermostat housing to the manifold. As a temporary fix. I used a gasket sealer to hold the thermostat housing on so that the car could operate temporarily. This is only a temporary fix and this part needs to be replaced or you risk leaking coolant/overheating. Other than these two very minor mechanical defects. the vehicle is in great running and driving condition. This vehicle is also in fair condition visually. The interior is nearly immaculate. There is some cracking on the arm rest and a crack on the dash. but both seem minor in comparison to the overall condition of the interior. The paint was very worn and almost pink when I purchased the vehicle. I attempted to improve the aesthetics of the car by painting the rims black and plasti-dipping the exterior. The body has several dents and dings. which is to be expected with the age of this car. Some of the ground effects are also broken or slightly deformed do to wear and tear. The vehicle is also equipped with a set of HID head lights. REASON FOR SELLING Wife. No. seriously though. I do have a wife and kids and I cannot afford to take on a project car. I know that this car is considered desirable and as a 5 speed V8. I know that some enthusiast out there would love to pick up where I left off. I would love to sell this car to someone that is going to restore it to its former glory! SHIPPING If you are the winning bidder of this vehicle. I prefer that you live locally and intend to pick the vehicle up from its current location in Victorville. CA. However. if you do wish to arrange for shipping. than ANY and ALL fees and logistics are the responsibility of the buyer. Good Luck and please let me know if you have any questions. I will do my best to post all questions and responses on this page for reference by all interested parties! Thank you for your interest!
