Fun 1980 Camaro Project Car. We got this car in 2006 an completely dis-assembled it right down to the sub frame. (See pics) The entire body and undercarraige were sand blasted and repainted with Chassy Saver. We originally put the car back to factory colors and drove it for a couple of years like that. then decided to have some fun with it and repainted as you see in the pictures. We replaced almost everything on the car that wears out. New: front coil springs and bushings through out. New 1" anti-swaqy bars and bushings. New brake lines and brakes. New carpet and re-appolstered the seats front and back. We put sound deadening in the floor pans and replaced the carpet and installed a new head liner. We even replaced the package tray. The car has the original numbers matching 350 Small block. We had Mike's Machine Shop in south St. Louis overhaul the motor. We bored it . 30 over and installed a custom cam. Dart Iron Eagle heads. flat top pistons and a billet valve train. then topped it with an Enduroshine intake and 650CFM single pumper from Edelbrock. The motor dyno'd at over 425HP! And that with just a 650CFM carb. We wanted lots of torque out of this rebuild and got loads of it. You can spin the tires with this car until you can't see it for the tire smoke. This car is strong! The engine build alone was $4500. 00!The original Borg Warner Super T-10 four speed was sent out to our trany shop. This transmission is so tough. all it needed was seals and a fluid change. We put in a new clutch as she was ready to go. We have had so much fun with this car the last 9 years (wow. can it be that long already?) But it is time to move it out for another project. We've got over 15 Grand invested. Our loss will be someones gain. This car had great bones and would be an ideal candidate for show car treatment. The sheet metal is great and all the parts that mater are original to the car. All the lettering is vinyl and can be removed quickly with just a heat gun. NOTE: The hot wire from the starter to the ignition is fried somewhere. We just don't have time to track it down. so the car is NOT running right now. Take that into account for pick-up or shipping. Ask any question. Fun is guaranteed.
