1948 CHEVY COE TRUCK This is a neat old cab over chevy truck. It has a very nice body and is rust free. One owner from 1948-2015 until I purchased it. This came from one of the oldest ranches in the state. The truck has a nice patina. and was originally blue. Never painted. and no bondo. This is a neat old truck and these COE's make nice rod projects. and 1947-1954 chevy/gmc models are one of the most popular for restoration. There are a lot of creative ways people have restored these trucks. They put flatbeds. ramp bodies. rollbacks. campers. and pickup boxes on them. Regular 8-9' stepside boxes from the era look great. Restoration panels are made to build a bed out of scratch. including tailgates. I've seen custom crew cabs built out of these. and suburbans/panels too. Other pics are in the listing of neat COE trucks. and panels. More pics available of the 48. ThanksMECHANICALThis truck has what looks to be. and is most likely is the original 235 six cylinder. I have never tried to run it. I think it could run with the usual fresh fuel. and tinkering. It has sat a long time. I'm not sure when it was last ran. I'm sure it would need fresh fuel. maybe carb rebuild/fuel pump. and fresh fluids. Clutch and transmission work. as far as holding it and releasing it to roll. It steers. Tires all hold air. I'm nost sure if it will run. but it may be possible with no major mechanical work. BODYThis truck is rust free and the body is very nice for a coe project that is 67 years old. The cab corners are nice. which is the usual spot for rust on these years. Floors are solid. The paint is original. except for the lettering on the door. The paint color is blue. although most of the outside paint has now changed to a patina. No bondo or repaint anywhere. The exterior is very straight overall. The passenger fender has a dent in the front. Pretty easy fix for a bodyman. Besides that. it's very straight. Some of the flat glass is cracked. but easy to replace. Overall. it's an excellent body for your project. INTERIORThe interior is original. and well used but hasn't been modified or hacked up. Seat needs rebuilt. Headliner is still in it. Dash/gauges are all complete and looks pretty good actually. Interior is pretty much all stock and fairly clean for a truck that's sat this long. OVERALLThis is a nice chevy coe to start with. These trucks get tons of attention at the car shows. 1947-1954 seem to be the most popular and there are many pictures online to see get examples of restoration possibilities. I've included some pics of restored trucks to see the possibilities. Thanks. and happy bidding. Sold as-is.
