1963 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible w 79,500 miles. This car is in good running condition. I drive it about once a week and get get compliments every time I take it out or drive back onto base. I've owned the car for abouta yearand had my mechanic put some work into it:Rebuilt both carbsReplaced generator w/ alternator (starts up much better now)Replaced points and condensersReplaced ignition coilNew air filterTop was replaced before I purchased car
Notes: Temp press light comes on after a while.Mechanic recommended upgrading brakes to disc brakes. Also recommended converting ignition to electronic ignition thus eliminating points and condensers, hich are prone to failure. Radio is not plugged in; not sure if it works.
I'll try to answer any questions the best I can. I'm moving in couple months which is why I'm looking to sell. Love the car and would like to have more time and knowledge to work on it myself. Just isn't practical for me to ship the car across the country where I'm moving to. Buyer is responsible for setting up shipping or local pickup. When I bought the car I used a shipping broker to arrange pickup and it worked out great. Selling as is, o warranty.
