Great running, razy fun to drive 1940 Chevrolet rat rod. Raucous, ad and beastly, t creates a sensation wherever it goes. And it GOES!
This is one you can get in and just drive!
1940 Chevrolet pickup cab has been chopped and channeled.
Front grill is from a 1940 International semi truck, ustomized to fit.
Cab has a new floor and firewall.
New custom-built truck bed is dressed up with bead-rolled "V8" logo on the tailgate and a Chevy bowtie logo and flame design in the bed.
Fuel tank and battery are located in the rear. There's a hinged door in the bed to access the battery. Gas cap is from an 8N Ford tractor.
Datsun pickup boxed frame with 1938 Chevy truck front axle with drum brakes and 10-bolt Chevy Camaro rear axle with leaf springs and disk brakes.
Front tires are Firestone 195-60-R15s. Rear tires are Hoosier Racing Tires 31x16.50 15LT. Excellent tread all around. Under-carriage is rust free.
Engine is a (1975-87) Chevrolet 454 cu. in. with Zoomie headers. There are baffles to tone it down a little bit, ut yes, t's awesomely loud.
It has an Edelbrock Pro Comp intake and Edelbrock 1405-4013 carburetor topped off with an old school finned air filter.
Has electric cooling fan, uper Pro tachometer and new electric fuel pump. New Model T style aluminum radiator with transmission cooler.
Transmission is a Turbo 400 automatic.
I'll put some regular wheels on the rear so you can get it on your trailer...
Equipped with Hurst racing shifter, etachable steering wheel and fire extinguisher. Directionals and new quartz headlights and tail lights function as they should.
Side windows are in place and functional.
The back window and speedometer are missing.
The outside-to-outside width on the rear tires is 80 inches, or trailering purposes.
