1975 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega. California Car! RARE!

Solid, ALIFORNIA 1975 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega. Very rare, nly 3500 sold new in 1975&1976! This Cosworth is Number 1041 of the total sold. Starts,runs,drives,steers,stops nicely! Very NICE Interior, o cracks in dash. door panels very nice and uncut! Has original Delco AM/FM radio that plays nicely.
I acquired this Cosworth Vega from the estate of the late, r. Lloyd Silacci, ho passed away at the age of 93, ast year. Mr. Silacci was a WWII Veteran who owned a "Speed Shop" in Petaluma, alifornia, any year ago. He was also an avid Bonniville Salt Flats racer.
This Cosworth Vega has a new clutch, niversal joints, ower ball joints,idler arm, n tank fuel pump, uel filter,fuel hoses (from tank tocarburetor, ront brake job (pads, oses,calipers rebuilt,rotors surfaced) and bearing pack. New thermostat, hermostat housing, pper radiator hose, atch struts, eadliner. Equippedwith 4 Bilstein Shocks, ge unknown, hey work great!
Engine oil and filter, ransmission and rear axle oil changed.Carburetor rebuilt with genuine WEBER parts! Fresh tune up and air filter! Minimumbid hardly pays for all the recent work done on this car!
Previous owner removed the troublesome original fuel injection and replaced it with a Weber 40IDF Carburetor, hich has no choke, lightly "cold blooded". Loves to run and rev! Great opportunity to acquire this rare seventies Cosworth Vega !
Basically a ROT FREE CALIFORNIA CAR! The only exception I could find, fter through inspection is ONE area, epicted in the last two photos. The battery tray has some rot, rom battery acid. (Shown in the second to last photo,looking DOWN into the tray) The tray is spot welded in place andeasilyreplaceable. (I will include replacement tray)
The metal the tray sits on, as an approximate 4" X 4" area, f flat metal, artially eaten by battery acid. (Shown in the the photo, ooking UP from under the battery tray area. These 2 photos depict THE SAME ONE ARE, rom above and below.Many VEGAS have the entire battery tray and support GONE! Don't let this quick fix, n my Cosworth concern you!
Paint is poor, et serviceable, get "Thumbs Up" whenever I drive it! Has some dents in rear quarter panels and hatch lid. (See photos).
Original owners manual, actory brochure, nd factory shop manuals, ctober 2014 Hemming's Muscle Car magazine with article on the Cosworth Vega will be provided to buyer with the car! I will also include a new in the package, ear hatch weather strip and a new (similarbut notidenticalto OE) battery tray.
Buyer encouraged to ask question and inspect before bidding! Vehicle is sold as is/where is. Some smog equipment removed, ay not pass a smog test if required in your area. (California does NOT require smog inspection on 1975 and older vehicles.
