The LT-1 Engine option was the most expensive Corvette engine GM offered in 1970 and 72. In 1972 the 454 Big Block cost $294.90 extra, he LT-1 High Performance Engine cost $483.45 extra! Of a total 1972 production of 27,004 Corvettes, nly 1.741 were LT-1's.
This Corvette's original owner knew the LT-1 would become a highly desirable collector car, e saved loads of documentation! Included in the documentation is his copy of the Order Form he filled out when he ordered the car, he Check List Form the dealer used to make sure everything worked before handing it over to the proud new owner. He also saved the Protect-O-Plate and other literature that came with his new car and in addition, oads of maintenance history. Subsequent owners continued adding to the maintenance history of the car.
The car runs strong! There are not too many Unmolested Matching Number LT-1's left. This is one of them!
