A solid New Mexico 1950 Chevy short bed step side truck. This half ton pick up has spent most of its life in a dry climate and is very solid. I just had this shipped to N.J. and it does come with a clear N.J. title in my name. There is the usual lower cab corner rust and the right running board has some under the stainless cover. There is a dent were the drivers door stop failed and the door swung to far and hit the cowl. The door stop has been repaired. The rest of the body is straight and solid from what I can see. The bed sides and top rails are very nice and it has the original wood floor in it. The doors are close great and do not have any rust. All fourfenders and the hood are straight. There are chrome bumpers front and rear and all the rest of the chrome is very nice. It was repowered with a small block Chevy V8 with duel exhaust and glass pack mufflers. It runs and drives but could stand some work as it idles rough and carburetor is to rich. The transmission is an early Muncie four speed with a Hurst shifter. The rear is from a 1957 Chevythat eliminates the old torque tube set up. The truck will need some attention to details such as a cracked right door glass and interior door handles and general going over. It is converted to 12 volts with an alternator and has aftermarket gauges and a tachometer and runs on an electric fuel pumpwith a new fuel tank. There are later model bucket seats with seat belts and shoulder harnesses and a custom steering wheelon a later model steering column. The paint has faded in spots. There is an extra left rear fender, wo spare wheels and an under bed tire carrier included. Feel free to come and inspect the truck in Ringoes N.J. 08551. Do to its age the true miles are unknown. Please be sure before you bid because I have had a problem with no show buyers in the past. This is a no reserve auction and will sell to the highest bidder.
