Offered for sale is a 1956 Chevy Big Window Pick up. It is an all original frame and sheet metal shortbed stepside vehicle, VERYTHING else has been upgraded or replaced with new. The truck was painted an Aqua Blue color back in the 1980's and has since started to naturally fade and patina. There are no rusted through sections but there is minor some bubbling on the fenders and passenger door. The floor and cab corners are in fantastic shape. Extremely straight body from front to back. Tail gate has a few small dents that are hard to see. The original fuel tank was removed to accommodate the new seat but the filler tube and cap was left to retain the original look. All wiring and hoses in this truck has been replaced with new. Fender moldings and hood emblem are missing.
The engine is an all new Turn Key ZZ4 crate motor cooled with a new 4 core aluminum radiator. It is rated at 355 hp. It runs nice and cool during the hottest valley heat even while running the air conditioner. The Turbo 350 transmission was built with a mild shift kit and a new torque convertor to stand up to the higher power of the ZZ4. The Camaro rear end was built with a new posi unit and 2.73 gears to provide for a nice low crusing rpm at highway speeds. The front brakes have been upgrade to power disc and rear brakes have been rebuilt.
The rims and tires are completely brand new. The suspension is completely all new and lowered. It steers straight and drives excellent.
Literally, his is a brand new truck except for the frame and sheet metal. EVERYTHING else has been replaced with new or upgraded. It has been a 7 year project and just finished this year.
