1968 Camaro Convertible This car just came out of storage from 23 years. This is a base convertible model with 2 speed automatic. manual drum brakes and power steering. The factory paint is code "Y" Butternut Yellow with a code "2" black convertible top and the "712" standard black bucket interior with column shift. It was born with an L6 and during the 80s was fitted with a 1966-HCR suffix 327 4bbl 275hp. The wheels seem to be Old Aluminum American Racing "Daisy" wheels. The odometer reads 83. 22 and are believed to be orginal but cannot be documented. This is a very complete car which seems to never have been wrecked. It has the normal rusted sheet metal and in need of a total restoration but still remarkably very solid. The top frame is complete and works but we did not force it down all the way to avoid damage. The engine runs quiet and smooth with no smoke. The trans goes into gear and there is a brake pedal with pressure. The fuel tank had old fuel so we disconnected it and used a temporary tank to start and run car. The interior is original and complete less the aftermarked radio. This car is a great base and open canvas. Out of roughly 20. 00 convertible Camaros built in 1968 it is to be believed that possibly only 30% exist today. This car has clear vin and trim tag. I put a bunch of pictures to show the condition of the car. Please contact me with any further questions and I will respond promptly. This Auction is at NO RESERVE after the minimum bid is met so bid to win! The car is sold as is and the buyer is responsible for shipping.
