Description

PRICE DROP TO $12. 00! 1972 Chevy C10 Suburban with strong running 454CID big block. AT. Upgraded Suspension and Rear Barn Doors. Options include power steering. power disc brakes (front). front/rear A/C (works. but not charged). upgraded leather front bucket and 2nd row seats from a 2006 Suburban. Body is dent/rust free with new paint w/ absolutely zero orange peel (easily an 8/10…a very good “drivers” quality paint). Frame is solid with only light surface rust (again. it’s a driver. but there are ZERO frame rust rot issues). I purchased this Suburban from dry Texas where it spent its whole life before I shipped it to SoCal. Gauges. lights. turn-signals & wipers all work as they should. All doors lock via keys minus rear barn door. E-brake is not hooked up. The suspension has been dropped via new spindles (4” in front. 2” in back). new shocks/coils and it now rides on wide American Racing Torque-Thrust alloys (new 245/40/20 front. 275/35/20 rear tires). The vehicle lights right off. idles perfectly and drives down the road (and stops) perfectly straight. The very unique 3-door Suburban’s from 1967-72 are becoming increasingly harder to find in this condition and price point. It seems the majority for sale are either complete basket cases with major rust/rot issues (both frame and shell) yet still selling in the $5K-$10K range. or the total restoration projects where sellers want $25K+ to own. But to find clean examples at the sub $15K range is becoming increasingly difficult. As an owner of three 1972 Burban’s over the years. they have always been a cool way for me to transport my family and friends around town as I prefer out-of-the ordinary classics that provide style beyond your typical new car. I purchased this particular Burban to be my family beach cruiser…I wanted a mechanically sound. rust-free vehicle that would see 95% of its use going & coming from the beach. I also didn’t want a showroom queen as I knew kids would be piling in & out. so the fact it wasn’t mint inside appealed to me. Lastly. it HAD to have rear barn doors as the extremely heavy lift hatch & drop gate configuration on these Burban’s is not practical. yet the ease of opening/closing the barn-doors make this vehicle that much more user friendly. Again. the barn-doors are a HUGE advantage for those that actually want easy access to the useful storage area of these Suburban’s. If you too are looking for a cool beach or weekend cruiser. this is the Burban for you. Or. if you want a great base starting point for a vintage Suburban project to take to the next level. this vehicle would also be a prime candidate. The only cosmetic improvements I was planning for the near future was to paint the roof & lower panels white and put the stock OEM moldings back on. Then once it had performed years of kid beach-hauling services. I planned to replace the seats. carpets and headliner to finish the project. But alas. too many classics and an additional newborn child. it’s time I start to downsize my classic car stable (the wife. aka The Boss. has spoken!). If you’re interested. please call me directly at 310. 291. 5377 to discuss. I REFUSE to answer a laundry list of question via email. so don’t even bother sending them to me…and all you SCAMMERS out there. please spare yourself & me the trouble of trying to contact me. I’ve sold enough classics over the years that I’ve seen every one of the current scams and I’m too busy and impatient to deal with you. If you’re a seriously interested party. by all means call me and we’ll talk about the Burban. But if you’re simply the typical “internet tire-kicker” let’s not play the games and talk when we both know you have no intention of buying (or the wife is never going to sign off on you buying this awesome classic…please seek permission to buy from The Boss BEFORE calling me). Also. since I’m downsizing my stable. please no offers for any kind of trades as I need to get rid of cars. not simple swap one for another. I’m NOW asking $12. 00. but open to reasonable offers. I will NEVER be insulted or get upset over an offer; I just can’t guarantee I won’t laugh. I’m sure I’ve left out info. so please call me directly to ask questions. Good luck.
