Relisted due to non-paying buyer.
1968 Corvette Coupe with a 427 motor and 4 speed manual transmission. This is a project car that sat in a barn for several years. I recently pull the car out of storage and had a local mechanic do a tune-up and in generally get the car as road worthy as possible. I removed the emblems, ompounded out the paint job, ulled the seats and carpet and have been slowly fixing it up.
The person I bought the car from built the motor when you could still get high octane gas. The specs on the motor as were reported to me when I purchased the car:
- 427 bored .30 over
- TRW 12.5 to 1 forged pistons
- TRW double roller timing set and high volume oil pump
- 2nd edition L88 aluminum heads
- Crane hydrolic cam: 560 lift/ 292 duration
- Weiland aluminum intake
- 750 Holly DP Carb (will need rebuilding)
- Converted to electronic ignition
As stated, he car does run and drive but can be temperamental due to how "hot" the engine is built. I have a clear title in hand. The car is sold As-Is-Where-Is with no warranty implied or otherwise. The car is to be paid for in full within 5 business days of auction end in the form of a cleared certified check or cash on pickup.
