Up for sale is a 1963 chevy nova convertible. the car was rebuilt from the ground up. just about all sheet metal has been replaced. I have photos showing the restoration. I did the work myself. this car is NOT perfect and would not win any big "GOOD GUYS SHOW" but its pretty dam nice!!!!!!!! body is not razor straight but pretty dam nice!!!! Convertible top is a good quality vinyl with canvas backing. it fits real good but does have some wrinkles due to I hardly have it up because it's a convertible!!!!!!I win every car show I go to in and around the state. it a real eye catcher so don"t take it out if you don"t have time to talk to everyone when you stop! the car has no heat or air but there is space left under the dash and on the firewall to install one. I never needed either because, es it"s a convertible!!!!!!!!.
the hood is a steel cowl hood. I had louver panels made and then welded them to the top. Looks really nice. I didn't make them go all the way through due to no one could place them how and where I wanted them. Look below at the list of stuff on this car and decide for yourself if you want it.
this car was built for long highway driving and you would have to change out the rear gears if you only want to do burnouts.
custom mods- front and rear molded in bumpers-welded up very little bondo- shaved door handles a key fob opens the doors
Power windows all around- front switchs in the center console- rear window switches are on the lower left side of dash.
interior door opener switches on center console.
center console holds the ignition switch, iper switch, ight switch and auz light switch and an extra switch.
I built very cool custom roll bars around the passenger and drivers seat out of steel tubing mandrel bent.
door panels are custom fiberglass with map pockets and two Jensen speakers to match the Jensen cd player in the dash. the factory glove box has been filled in to give a clean look. Behind this area is where the heat and air unit would go. the large chrome shifter knob is just sitting on the shifter for looks. Can leave or you can buy any type you want and screw it on to the b&m shifter. on the lower passenger side of the dash is a customer cd holder.
interior is cloth and vinyl. new carpet.
it has a chrome steering wheel with a chrome ididit tilt steering column. it has a new universal wiring harness.
the gauges are Dakota digital. attached to the column are two other Dakota digital gauges one is oil temp and one is tranny temp. both in chrome gage pods. I like to know what my engine and tranny temps are.
sitting on the rear seat is a custom fiberglass duel speaker I made. something different gets a lot of attention instead of a square box. its removable and could be placed on the back deck or on the grass.
all glass is great shape.
engine is a plane gm 350 crate motor 230hp with a single 650 ellbrock carb with no choke. I have around 2500 miles on the engine. its cold natured for about 4 minutes then idles great. I made a custom air cleaner to top it all off. hei distributor with a super coil under the dash and a 6al box attached to the fender under the hood. electric radiator fan runs when engine running. custom stabilizer bar under hood(mainly for looks). one wire 100 amp altinator. universal shorty headers. high tork mini starter. chrome oil cooler used as a power steering cooler in the engine bay. plane mech fuel pump. oil changes every 4 months. changed about 6 times so far.
I used the largest 3 core aluminum radiator I could find. in front and to the side is a large aluminum tranny cooler and an oil cooler. I like my liquids cold!!!
the front suspension is a tct jmustang 2 coil spring and shock with power rack and pinion steering. sway bar included.
front grill is a custom steel!!!!! tubing with two lights in it. nothing will dent or ding this grill!!!!!!
four wheel disc brakes all around with chrome master cylinder and booster. emergency brake on center console.
rear end is a custom cut ford 9 inch with multi leaf springs. it has a custom aluminum cover. it has a rear sway bar. the rear height is adjusted by rear air shocks with the air Schrader valve in the trunk. I like it due to sometimes I carry a lot of weight.
in the trunk and behind the seat is a custom built 32 gal gas tank which is lin-x"d.I can go a long way. the car gets on the highway at 80mph 14-15mpg. the trunk as been walled off with carpet. behind the right side panel is the battery and also on the right panel are two battery terminals in case the battery goes dead or you want to jump someone. also in the trunk is a master battery shut off switch.
the tranny is a standard 700r4 which is great for the highway and the check dipstick is mounted to the firewall.
wheel and tires are 18x8 all around with 225/45/r18s in front and 245/45/r18 in the rear.
the blue is 86 pt cruiser electric blue and the silver is a ford silver. there is matching paint on a lot of the parts so just take a look.
