Hate to sell but college for my oldest fast approaching. 1954 Chevy 210 2 Door Hardtop. This is NOT a project car that is going to sit in your driveway or garage. It's a daily driver and passed Massachusetts Inspection in April of 2015. Has and comes with a Massachusetts title. Mileage is marked as unknown. The speedometer and odometer are functional and the odometer shows ~ 76,000 miles. There is NO rust on this car. There isn't a spot I could find that does not hold a magnet. It is really straight.
This is one those rare cars that you can work on and still drive regularly and do things that make it 'yours.' It is currently covered in matte black primer. A little block sanding and it's ready for paint. It doesn't need any bodywork or mechanical work at all.
The suspension and steering is unmolested and original. The original independent front suspension is really amazing. Way ahead of its time. The 4 tires are BRAND NEW Uniroyal Tiger Paws. I have no problem taking this car 75 MPH down the highway today. It's straight and doesn't shake. The speedometer and odometer are the only original functioning gauges. Aftermarket fuel, emp, il, ach and volt gauges have been added and work perfectly. The windshield wipers have been converted from vacuum to new electric 12 volt.
The car is powered by a rebuilt (2012) mild 302. It was built for the purpose of the car being a daily driver and not a once in a while or weekend hot rod. It starts right up every time, ven in the cold. Gas mileage isn't as bad as one may think. Transmission is a C4 Automatic and shifts like new. Has a Lokar shifter on the floor. Exhaust sounds amazing - video does it no justice. Has TWO, es TWO exhaust options: Sidepipes can be opened for a more aggressive sound. If you're driving around the neighborhood, imply close the sidepipes and all exhaust is directed through the dual Flowmaster mufflers straight out the back polished stainless exhaust tips.
Interior is just gorgeous. Front and rear seats have been reupholstered in black velour. No rips, tains, oles wear or other blemishes. The headliner matches the seats. The floor has been fully patched where needed and is covered by a new black carpet and pad.
All the lights work as designed, ncluding the dome light. Glass and rear view mirror is good. I would probably add a side view mirror. Brakes stop on a dime. Steering is remarkable tight and smooth.
Again, he car needs nothing to put on the road. I am pretty sure you'll want to put your own touches on it - paint, aybe stance - not sure what else you'd want to do. If I had the time and inclination (and money), I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car across the country as it sits.
