1946 Chevrolet COE Truck
These early Chevy cabover trucks are quicly becoming very popular and even more difficult to find. This truck was recently pulled from an estate near Portland, regon where it has sat for several years. Though complete, he body of the truck has rust. The truck is a project and needs a complete restoration or used as a donor for a custom project. It would be a great parts truck with many hard to find parts.
The (presumably) original 6 cylinder motor and transmission are still in the truck. The valve cover has been removed. I can not confirm the condition of the motor but it would be a safe bet that it needs a complete overhaul. The chassis is a roller. Tires hold air. The truck steers, owever, omething is broke in the steering linkage. Turning the wheel does nothing and the front tires must be turned by hand. Both sides are connected and the truck can be easily steered by using a bar in one of the front wheels. Rear axle and suspension appear complete.
As mentioned, he truck came from near the Oregon Coast. The truck has rust. See pictures. Aside from the rust, he sheet metal is complete. Doors, enders, eadlights, teps, unning boards, prons, ood, indshield frame and cab. Missing the wooden floorboards and the seat frame.
The truck is what it is, ook at the pictures. If theres anything else you would like to see, et me know, 'll post more pictures.
These trucks are tough to find, n any condition. Here's a chance to get one at a good price.
The truck is sold with a bill of sale only as no record has been found in the DMV system.
