1988 Chevrolet Corvette Base Convertible 2-Door 5.7L

Up for sale is my 1988 Corvette Convertible. I have owned this car for the last 4 years. It was my first corvette and I loved it so much when I found it. that I bought it on the spot without even driving it. It has only seen the rain about 4 times in the last 4 years. This is my Spring-Summer-Fall Weekend driver. She has 101. 00 miles. I have put about 3000 miles on her in the last 4 years. and she sits in the garage most of the time and doesn't see bad weather. She typically gets washed after every trip out of the garage. She is not perfect. Minor scratches in the paint surface- and pitting chrome on one of the front wheels. This car has been my sole "toy" for the last 4 years. I have 2 kids in college and 2 at home so I could only out so much into a "toy". but I have been very pleased with her. I drove my daughter in her homecoming parade in my vette a couple years back and loved every minute of it. But now it's time to pass her on. She has 93 model bumpers so she looks newer that a 1988. Black paint with one scuff on the back bumper. Minor surface scratches or swirls in the paint. I honestly think they could be buffed out. Black leather interior with no rips and no cracks. Dash is perfect. Tan top with no rips. Good Michelin Tires. Chrome Wheels (as I mentioned starting to show their age). Motor is stock but she does have a stainless magnaflow exhaust. Power windows. power mirrors. automatic transmission with OD. and shifts great. Cruise control still works great on her. Lights pop-up as they should. Things she needs: fuel gauge does not work (so I track miles between fill-ups with trip gauge). convertible hatch cables need replaced but hatch still opens well. Drivers door window is starting to slow when going up/ down but still works. Heat/AC control does not function completely- I have read that this can often be resolved if the unit is taken out and cleaned to remove years of oil from fingers and cleaners from controls. This was not a concern for me cause I only drove her with the top down and in pretty weather. Good carpet and interior. I'd rate it at 8. 5-9/10. Engine is clean and runs well. No leaks noted. Power steering works well. Slotted rotors. Mirror tabs that fill-in the gap between the mirrors and the doors. Aftermarket radio/cd player with power antenna. Local pick-up only and I will not ship it. but will help you make arrangements in getting her.
