Completing an intricate transformation from solid Detroit steel to lean, ean Chevrolet dream machine, his stylish F1 displays bodywork that's nothing short of excellent! The car's ground-up, ut-and-bolt restoration started with an original Camaro body that appears to have never seen major rust or significant damage. Once that shell was thoroughly prepped, ach of its panels was carefully aligned to uniform consistency. And when that professionally-tailored profile was close to perfect, uPont black was accented with a red stinger stripe and sealed under mirror-like clear. The end result is one seriously lethal cruiser that has major street presence and great curb appeal!
Zoom in on the details and this custom continues to impress. At the front of its body, monochromatic Rally Sport grille hangs a bright "SS" emblem above clean parking lamps and a new chrome bumper. Behind that grille, pinned and "LS2" branded Stinger hood leads the eye to fresh glass that's framed in straight stainless trim. At the sides of that glass, lassy chrome mirrors and traditional GM door handles combine with new rocker trim to add just the right amount of flash to the car's clean profile. And at the back of that profile, billet fuel cap and '67 Camaro-exclusive taillights split the difference between a D80 spoiler, second chrome bumper and Rally Sport reverse lamps.
In keeping with unspoken tradition, his Chevy proudly displays small "Fuel Injection" emblems on its fenders to warn would be challengers of its top option powerplant. Lift the car's lightweight fiberglass hood and you'll find a potent, ast iron 6.0L small block that's dressed to look like an LS2. Up top, M's familiar intake and contoured fuel rail covers feature "CAMARO LS2" branding. Up front, here's a beefy radiator that's fitted with a massive Flex-A-Lite Syclone puller fan. To the left, conical, eusable filter element feeds a clean, tainless-trimmed air tube. To the right, chrome-capped Optima battery makes sure the fires get lit, ven in the worst elements. Aesthetically, he engine bay looks fantastic with the aluminum mill and textured core support accented by Satin Black fenders and chrome brace bars. And one twist of the key zings the powerplant to life, ulsing rhythmic notes through high quality Hedman Husler hedders.
Take a gander under this slick F-Body and you'll find a fully detailed chassis that mixes new age technology with old school durability. Solid floorpans wear a clean coat of traditional Satin Black and, ave for hours of buffing, re every bit as nice as the car's first rate exterior. At the center of those floors, proven Tremec 5-speed makes good use of a tough hydraulic clutch. Nail the gas and a 10-bolt, erfect Launch-branded rear end spins a tough posi-traction differential around 4.11 gears. Stopping is a cinch thanks to two power-assisted Wilwood calipers, wo power-assisted GM calipers and four drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust is handled by a series of 2.5-inch pipes, hich swirl spent gases through a Hedman crossover and polished Magnaflow mufflers. At the front of the car, odern power steering complements Hotchkis coil springs, YB Gas-a-Just shocks and a beefy Hotchkis sway bar. At the back of the car, factory-style suspension mixes high quality subframe connectors with Hotchkis leaf springs and two more KYB Gas-a-Just shocks. And torque melts the pavement thanks to polished Rushforth wheels, hich spin 245/40ZR18 Nitto NT555 redlines in front of 285/40ZR18 Nitto NT555 redlines.
Behind the car's solid-closing doors you'll find a Standard Camaro interior that wraps a simple, istraction-free driving experience in acres of classic flash. At the front of the cockpit, thoughtfully modified dash hangs Dakota Digital VHX telemetry beside Vintage Air climate control and a Kenwood CD player. Below that dash, two-tone console frames a sweet TKO shifter. Below that console, igh quality carpet rides between Dynamat insulation and color-keyed, Camaro" branded floor mats. At the sides of that carpet, tandard door panels twist chrome handles in front of chrome-trimmed arm rests. In front of the driver, leather-wrapped Concept To Reality steering wheel spins around a modern, ilting column. Behind the passengers, custom-upholstered trunk features a small fire extinguisher. And everything jolts to action via snazzy remote start.
