1972 Chevelle SS Convertible LS5 454 4 Speed 1 of 27 produced

You are bidding on a real 1972 Chevelle Super Sport Convertible with a numbers matching LS5 454 4 Speed. This car is NOT a clone. Anybody that knows these cars will know this car is real and 1 of only 27 cars produced with a 4 speed. This car is 1 of 12 cars produced with a raised hood. This car was a special order COPO paint code 68 midnight bronze. This is not a bronze color car. this is black with bronze metallic.The car had been repainted 30 years ago to the color it is now. I rubbed through the paint to find the original bronze metallic underneath. Other than the paint this car is all original. The car retains it's original parchment white on black interior. The gm original dash pad is in outstanding original condition. The steering wheel is in excellent original condition. Everyone knows that in 1972 the horn button only had a bowtie emblem not like 71 where it has the ss emblem.This is the factory original steering wheel. The wheels are the factory original wheels and are date coded. The car still retains its 4 peed trans and 331 posi rear end and white convertible top. The car also retains it's original suspension and front and rear sway bars. The front and rear bumpers are factory originals with no dings or dents. These cars were vin coded in 1972 so there is no mistaking this is and ls5 4 speed convertible. the engine is the original numbers matching engine. Every thing on the engine is correct date coded equipment including the spark plug wires. The engine has a complete professional rebuild. The block was a standard bore block. we bored the block 30 over. I replaced the crank and rods with a scat crank and rods with arp bolts. The pistons are 30 over forged pistons. The cam is a neworiginal equipment hydraulic cam with new lifters. The heads are original date coded heads that have been surfaced with new hardened seats, ew valve guides, ew springs, ew retainers, ew studs and guides with new stainless steel valves. You can see by the photo's. The fan shroud is in very nice original condition. The engine is also balanced with a new flywheel, lutch and pressure plate. The bell housing is original with correct date codes and new throw out bearing. I have new NOS Factory original left and right front fenders, ew left and right quarter panels, loor pans, runk pans, nd inner wheel houses. that will go with the car. Everything else on the car is still in tact. Including the original shifter and knob.
