Tri-Five fans, on't despair, here are still some very nice, rivable Chevys out there looking for new homes. Case in point? This gorgeous 1955 210 post coupe, ith an awesome two-tone paint job, warmed-over V8 under the hood, nd a comfortable interior that has all the modern conveniences. This one definitely won't last long.A lot of hobbyists think the 1955 Chevys are the best of the bunch, ith the purest, east finicky design, nd it's pretty hard to dispute that claim looking at this 210. The paint job is a tribute to the original design but using modern paints to give it a brilliant shine and depth. The bright white over cobalt blue combination is simply perfect for getting attention with this slick cruiser. The finish was color sanded and buffed to an incredible shine that really shows well in the sun, nd the two-tone look definitely works on the simple 210 body style, ccentuating the car's very best features. All the original trim was removed, olished, nd reinstalled once the paint was dry, nd preserves the timeless look of this '55. The bumpers have been rechromed, he grille is in very good condition, nd the tinted glass adds to the hot rod look without distracting you from the vintage vibe. We understand that the custom blue velour upholstery isn't for everyone, ut it's very nicely done and offers comfort and all the modern conveniences. Matching cobalt blue velour covers both the front and back seats, nd the door panels use the same stuff in a custom pattern that definitely shows an artist's touch. They retained the original dash, ut added Auto Meter gauges in a triangular array under the dash to kind of mirror the arched speedometer's look. There's also a tach on the column, Grant GT steering wheel, nd a B&M shifter on the transmission tunnel. There's a neatly installed AM/FM/cassette stereo in the center of the dash and it uses original-looking knobs to help camouflage the upgrade. Ice cold A/C in a vintage-looking under-dash unit makes it truly comfortable whatever the weather, nd the trunk has been carpeted to match and carries a full-sized spare with jack assembly. The engine is a sweet-running 350 with a few aftermarket speed parts and enough flash to make it worth opening the hood at the local cruise night. The block was bored .030 oversize during the rebuilt and fitted with high compression slugs, performance cam, nd a 4-barrel carburetor up top. Chrome valve covers match the tall air cleaner and there's a giant BeCool aluminum radiator up front. Long-tube headers dump into a custom dual exhaust system with chrome pipes right under the one-piece California bumper. A TH400 3-speed automatic is the right transmission for a car like this, nd it drives a Ford 9-inch rear full of 4.11 gears, o you know you won't break it. Power 4-wheel disc brakes with a dual master cylinder improve safety and it rolls on a set of Rallys wearing staggered 235/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear BFG radials. Finished, ully sorted drivers don't get much more turn-key than this 210. To duplicate this car, ou'd be well past the asking price before you were done with the paint and chrome, ever mind the engine and interior. There's no denying the appeal of the '55 shape, nd when they're ready to roll like this one is, hey make for a very appealing package. Call us today before this 210 slips away.
