I am listing this car for my computer illiterate buddy who knows his stuff about Corvettes but finds it a struggle to find the on button on a desktop let alone a tablet !!!Below is the story he told me. The car was purchased new by the original owner (a family friend of my buddies) in Ohio in 1973. it is the only year that Corvette has the new Polyurethane impact bumper to the front and the carry over chrome bumpers to the rear. Fitted with T tops. factory air and power windows this is a nicely specified car. 350cu V8 motor. four barrel carb & 3 speed 400 turbo transmission. The owner and his wife then moved to Ft Myers in Florida and became residents when he retired in 1979. The car was put into storage under cover and not touched for 25 years. My buddy has a restoration shop in Ft Myers and was approached by the friend to get the car running so the old guy could use it. This was a little late as he passed before he could get to drive it again. Listed below is the items replaced:New genuine GM front bumper (the original had simply disintegrated)Rims. tires. brakes. calipers. brake lines. master cylinder. power steering pump. water pump. fuel pump. new gas tank. all new belts and hoses. carb rebuilt and new A/C compressor. The car has its original factory trim. now blows ice cold air and starts and drives plus stops as it should. The paint is not original as the car was painted to the factory color in 1979. it is a 5ft job and although presentable and turns head plus gains a lot of thumbs up it is the main thing that lets the car down. it is what it is. The title is a clear Florida title signed over by the original owner. My name is Roger. feel free to call me on 239 243 4102 I have driven the car taken the photo's and listed it. I however know very little about Corvettes being a Mustang man myself (yes I will now wash my mouth out).
