Muscle and sports car performance was at a fever pitch in '67! The horsepower wars were in full swing and almost anything went, f it meant you could go faster than the next guy. All of the American auto manufactures were getting into the act and Chevrolet was at the top of both categories with the new Camaro introduced that year, s well as the Chevelle and Nova Super Sports representing the Muscle Cars and of course America's only sports car; the Corvette! Most consider '67 the pinnacle of Corvette performance and style. The guys got everything right in '67. Which was a feat in itself, onsidering the mid-year styling on the '67 wasn't even supposed to continue past the '66 model year! The choices were plentiful as far as performance and comfort went. And although most chose to go either one way or the other, here were a few who wanted to be very comfortable while they were burning up the asphalt! Which brings us to the Corvette presented here . . . Having been handsomely frame off restored, ith every attention to detail, his 400 AC Conv wow'd the judges while receiving its Top Flight Award a while back in'13. The color combination of Sunfire Yellow with the striking White interior is something out of the dream factory and not the St. Louis Corvette Factory. But yes, his was on the order guide and by checking the right boxes a few months later your salesman at your local Chevy dealer would call you up and say your dream machine was in. Can you imagine how exciting that must have been to walk in and see this car sitting on the showroom floor with a "Sold" sign with your name on it?! Come on really? Did the General make such an incredible stylistic car?!! Well, top for a minute and calculate just how rare a car of this oddity could possibly be and do the math. With fewer than 60-80 Conv 4-speed 400's with AC ever made, dd in the rare color of yellow with white and maybe there were 4 or 5 others. With numbers like this you can see why certain well documented, nmistakable '67 435 and 400 AC big blocks can fetch the crazy #'s they do. In fact, e recently sold one of those particularly super rare birds for over $300,000. But to achieve those prices, hey must not deviate from typical factory production. Fancy words for describing a '60's Corvette. So imagine the previous owners dismay when he discovered that later after judging it was pointed out to him that the characters didn't exactly look correct on his Trim Tag. Our guess and his was that someone forgot to check that box back in '67 for white interior. So he decided to do it himself some 40 plus years later. In the binder, ou will find all types of receipts, udging sheets, ld titles and owner history. What an amazing car! This is a head turner at any event or car show. You will blow their minds driving up in this one! This Corvette is meant to enjoy from the moment the transporter drops it off in front of your house. So drop the top and have fun this summer without all the know it all’s critiquing your new baby!!
