Up for bid we have a true, ll original, 966 Chevrolet Impala. This well maintained gem is a true, 0 year old survivor. I've owned the car since 2007 and have all receipts to verify the care and maintenance this Impala has always received under my ownership. This list includes...
The transmission is a General Motors classic. It has a two speed Powerglide that was serviced in September 2010. It shifts great and has always been reliable.
The only item "after market" on the car is a set of gauges. After having the motor rebuilt I figured it was a good idea to know the oil pressure and water temperature.
It's a great driver and a good looking car. I believe this is the second paint job on the car. It has some minor dings and a few scratches. It also has a few areas of surface rust and minor bubbling in the paint. I've included pictures of these areas. This Impala is a great example of a term used in the car world. The term "20 footer" fits perfectly. This is a functional, rive-able vehicle in good overall condition needing no work. I've had the car in many local car shows and been on many cruise nights in it. It has always performed flawlessly and has managed to turn a few heads along the way.
The undercarriage was sprayed with a rubberized under coating material before I purchased the car. It has held up well and I believe has preserved the chassis all these years. A magnet will stick anywhere on this all steel Fisher body. No fillers on this old girl. She's all original.
The odometer shows 88,765. When I purchased the vehicle in 2007 it had right around 85,000. I have no reason to believe the mileage isn't true but I can't verify.
Factory A/C blows cold. It was converted to R134a in June 2007. I've had system serviced one time since conversion was made. Last service was in May 2012.
Original AC Delco AM/FM stereo works as does the dash clock and cigarette lighter.
