As the VIN number. trim tag and build indicates this car was built at the Van Nuys. California plant. It spent most of its life in sunny California. I don’t have any of the owner history but I understand the gentleman who owned the car lived in California and purchased it there. The car was an amazing find for him because it was so original from the sheet metal to the drivetrain. He decided to perform a complete rotisserie restoration sparing no expense. Prior to the restoration he took tons of photos as documentation to prove its originality. I’ve pictured some of the photos below as examples. All the photos are included with the sale. During the restoration breakdown process he found the build sheet on the gas tank! Finding a second generation Camaro build sheet is rare. Photos of the build sheet on the tank are also pictured below. He also kept all the original tags that were all over the car such as the AC. carpet. springs. etc. The original owner’s manual is also included. The goal was to restore the car back to its original condition with the intentions of keeping it. The restoration had been completed and he didn’t use it very often. A few years ago he moved from California to Louisiana. Busy with life he decided to sell it. The body is very straight and the gaps are very tight. The hood. doors and trunk lid open and close very easily. The front spilt bumper gives the car some great character. As the trim tag indicates it was painted in its factory original code #67 Classic Copper color. The paint is beautiful and show quality. This isn’t your average paint job and my guess is it was very expensive. It’s virtually flawless and appears new. This color is very rare and very rich looking especially in the direct sunlight. Even the glass is all new. I purchased brand new set of four 15” Cooper Cobra Radial tires which are on the car. The sale also comes with a set of Firestone Wide Oval F60X15 tires. This is one great looking car that attracts tons of attention. The exterior is complimented by an incredible interior. As the trim tag indicates the factory original interior color was code #730 Sandlewood. The two colors really complement each other perfectly. I can’t read all options on the build sheet but I know the car had such items as code #D55 console. #U63 p/b radio. #U76 w/s antenna. #Y02/Y03 custom front seats. #Y05 floor deadener. #Y10 custom trim. #Z87 custom interior and #Z22 Rally Sport package. The engine compartment is highly detailed. Its home to the factory original code L-65 matching numbers engine which runs excellent. This engine was rated at 250HP at 4800 RPM’s with 345 pounds of torque. It was a 9. 0:1 compression engine which made it very street friendly. The car was obviously equipped with code #NA9 which was CA emissions. There are a lot of original parts in the engine compartment. The engine is coupled to the factory original code #M38 three speed automatic transmission which shifts beautifully. The power is transferred to the factory original matching numbers 10-bolt rear end. The code CRX 0226G2 numbers indicate it’s a 10-bolt. 2. 73 gears and was built February 26 with Detroit gear and axle.
