1952 chevrolet 3100 5 window short bed all original looking truck

History Obviously green original looking patina not created aged to perfection . Usable drivable work truck make your farm truck Shop truck or parade truck anything you want it ant perfect but you can use it . I was told this truck has spent at least the last 15 years in a barn i cannot prove or yet deny it . It has weather time well if not very little rust an i mean very . I have tried to take good clear pics so you can bid with confidence it truely is a great find . Truck i understand was used a Mississippi Forestry Commission for the better part of its life cant confirm that either but all indications looks as if it did with the duel spot lights (that work) to the color an previous owner knew the ranger . most of its life in mid mississippi away from salty coastal air an the body speaks for that . It ant perfect but its not bad to be 60 years old an a truck so let the pics speak for them self . The truck when i bought it had painted grill an bumpers an to my knowledge a 5 window truck usually had chrome grill an bumpers tail lights an trip so i bought some really nice aged original parts an put back on it for a nicer update . I assume the commission had them put painted on these as they were work trucks so you will see a couple pics as it was before . When i bought the truck the front fenders had primer on them so i had to repaint i spent a lot of time getting the color an the age look back to these . The only if there is a negative they have no scratches or dents on them but you really have to look close an inspect that they were repainted . The previous owner had plans on repainting the truck all over when i found out about it but damage was already done but they turned out nice but i did want you to be aware . Were no rust issues said they had a few dents cant tell on back side so it must not have been bad . Motor Original was i was told was swapped out for the better 235 instead of the old 216 runs great drives great real smooth good compression just replaced the fuel pump points condensor an rotor button . Trans 3 speed on column works great original . shifts great smooth works as it should no issues . InteriorI have just replaced the seat cover with the original style an color from Brothers Truck Parts new padding was also installed Door panels were still in really great shape so i left them as they were . headliner an visor look original an also were still intact an in great shape . The floor mat was also replaced new . The floor in the old truck was amazing an i left it as it was (see pics) there were two small spots at the place were floor meets kick panels were a very small rust repair hardly worth mention that was fixed an that is all in the complete floor all the way back to the rear wall . The under seat pan is in excellent shape 0 issues also . The battery is still located under passenger side compartment an (Battery) was also just replaced a few weeks ago . I also replaced both door rubbers as the originals were rotten an worn . I had to do a repaint on the dash it looked like someone grandkids got in there with a silver spray can an helped repaint the dash so it was only a necessity to repaint . All the gauges are in working order an are accurate as they should an are still very nice shape an clear . TiresBrand new less than 20 miles just like the originals still have tits on tread Body Please look at pics i tried to show just how nice the body is on this truck its not 100% rust free but its close . At least its not just some thrown together repaint full of bond you can tell this old truck has been painted a loooooong time ago an paint is showing its age but whatever could have been done is holding up really great . There are 3 small spots on left (driver) cab corner see pic. passenger side is perfect . a couple small spots on cowl between door an bottom of front fender both sides about the same see pic no rust in fenders hood etc . Just want to be very clear its an old truck not a restored old truck so what you see is what you get . Not what is covered up is what you get so if you want an old truck to leave as is or restore this is a really nice one . LightsAll the outside lights work as they should clear an in great shape even spot light . i have replaced the tail lights with L E D s as the old originals were very old an broken so for a little modern update . This truck was only equipped with the left tail light but i found a match an put the pair on the truck . Bed I replaced the bed strips because they were missing so there all new with new bolts . i chose not to replace the wood as it was still in good shape an would have looked out of place . In the pics i had not painted the side L braces but they will be painted also green to match floor strips before auction . Weather this week has not permitted that . bed has a few small rust spots as it should 60 years old they were touched up but not covered up again see pics not trying to hide anything in fact i want you to see everything so you can bid an feel comfortable that you are getting what your paying for . Brakes I was told by the previous owner that he had just gone through the brake system an replaced everything i didnt look to verify but they do work as they should .
