Description

Just recently purchased from the long term Southern California owner, his 1960 Corvette is an outstanding original car. That has never been restored but just maintained very well while preserving all of its originality. It features two-tops and retains its complete original drivertrain beginning with the positively original stamped code CT 283-245HP Dual-Quad motor and backed with the factory installed T-10 4 speed transmission and a 3:70 ratio positraction rear end. The car has never been modified or damaged in any way and having lived its entire existence in Southern California the frame, uspension and all absolutely like new with zero rust or corrosion.
This car runs and drives like you only find in a well maintained original car. The car has never been totally restored but serviced as needed and the original motor was rebuilt one time in 1979. All engine componentry such as carburetors, istributor generator and starter are original to this car. The ignition shielding is all in place. Correct for a radio equipped car. The previous owner believes he has put on approximately 15,000 miles since the engine rebuild. The car is 100% reliable and has no mechanical issues. Our most recent full service did include a complete new Allens exhaust system and 4 new Coker wide whitewall radial tires. This car is ready to drive and enjoy just as you see it.
The body condition is absolutely superb with no evidence if any damage repair previously. The car is a one-time overall Acrylic Lacquer repaint done over 30 years ago in the original colors of Honduras Maroon with an Ermine White side cove. The repaint was an exterior color coat only as door jambs and trunk compartment retain their factory original finish. The paint is very presentable but has a number of nicks and chips as you would expect after all this time. Exterior trim is very nice appearing to be mostly all original and unrestored. Hardtop trim is very good and top fits perfectly.
The interior is mostly original and very nice overall. The previous owner did replace the dash pad and carpet at time of repaint. All gauges and controls and functional. The White soft top needs replaced but appears to be the original to the car. The top frame is in very good condition., he original wonder-bar radio has been recently serviced and operates correctly. Please note that the car has the original spare tire, oard, ack and handle all in place in the trunk.
Unmolested original cars original drivetrains are becoming increasingly hard to find and if you understand the importance of a car that has spent its entire life in the Southwest climate, ou will now this car is truly an opportunity. That, ombined with desirability of a dual quad, speed, wo-top car in great original colors, ake for a car that seldom comes to market today. Look over our pictures and ask all the questions you wish or come to Erie, A to view the car for yourself, here will be no disappointments, t is the right one and offered to be sold at a very realistic reserve price.
