For those of you who like the old-school look, his 1935 Chevrolet sedan should be right up your alley. In a sea of roadsters and coupes, his sedan offers a lot of features that you can't get anywhere else, ncluding a spectacular interior big enough for the whole family and excellent road manners to go with its vintage performance look. It's an older build that's been sorted, oo, o you should have no worries about taking it out and putting it on the road. The body is all General Motors steel, rarity in this day of fiberglass replicas. As a result, t has a solid feeling that is lost on many rods like this, nd the way those doors close is something you just can't find on today's cars. The Chevy's styling is a bit out-of-the-ordinary compared to all the Fords you see running around, nd to my eye, t's a bit sleeker and more contemporary. I especially dig the way the rear of the bodywork flows out to follow the curve of the rear fenders, aking for ideal proportions on the body. Basic black is always a great choice on a '30s car, nd when it looks this straight, here's no reason not to use it. Fortunately, he bodywork is in good shape underneath that softly glowing paint and it's been accented with most of the factory details remaining in place, ncluding that fine mesh grille insert, nd original-style headlights. Other nice features include rubber-covered running boards, actory taillights (with blue dots!), nd the original hood ornament just to dress things up a bit.The interior is burgundy vinyl, nd if you like the combination, ou're going to love spending time in here. The seats are the original benches front and rear, o they look right and don't create that odd look that modern seats give old cars. The upholstery patterns have a period-appropriate look that suits the car perfectly and the matching pleated door panels are a great touch. VDO gauges in a custom center-mounted instrument panel keep tabs on the important stuff up front, nd there's a wood-rimmed Grant GT steering wheel that really stands out. Features like A/C and a tilt steering column add to the driving experience, aking this a car that's ideal for long-distance hauls. A full-width rear bench makes room for some friends or family, nd even though it shows about 11,300 miles since it was completed, here's very little wear inside.Power comes from a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 with the usual upgrades to make it entertaining. There's a mild cam inside, 4-barrel carb up top, n HEI ignition system, nd plenty of chrome to make it flashy under the hood. It starts easily and runs well, o start planning your road trip now. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and 10-bolt rear end are critical links in the reliability chain, nd the burbling dual exhaust uses mellow-sounding mufflers to make that awesome sound without getting annoying. The front suspension appears to be a Mustang II setup with rack-and-pinion steering and disc brakes, o it steers and handles like a modern car, nd there's an 8-inch Ford rear end on leaf springs in back. Polished Torque Thrust wheels look great and carry 215/70/14 front and 2015/75/15 rear tires for a staggered look that doesn't rub in corners.A very cool, ell-built rod that's definitely going to get lots of attention everywhere it goes. If you love practical, nusual rods, his one gets everything right. Call today!
