Description

This is a project, ruck.I purchased on Ebay about four and a half years ago. with an insurance wreck pay-off. When I picked it up at a dealers' used car lot,. It had been towed from an impound yard, ecause it had been left abandoned on a roadsidem and he draler claimed the PD owed him a favor. The freeze plugs and radiator had failed it. It's got a 350, hat seems to be from about a 69 pretty hot little Camaro. I placed them with all new with brass newfreeze plugs, nstalled a new all aluminum radiator and water pump and had the heads cleaned up and valves lapped, nd reinstalled. Dressed it with an aluminum manifold with a new 650 Holley and aluminum valve covers, rand new alternator. I used to be a front end and brake and mechanic, o I went completely through the brakes, xcept the master cylinder and power booster, hich were working just fine. It has factory disc brakes in front, ith new pads and hoses. Feeling somewhat stronger,I put a brand new HEI distributor and a brand new battery in it, ast month. It has power steering, ut I prefer manual steering, hich was always satisfactory on these. it has a 350 turbo trans, ith a tiny leak at the pan, o it goes into reverse sluggishly, hich is why I would recommend trailering it to your place Someone put a chrome pan under the tranny with a drain plug, ut it somehow leaks just a tad. The suspension seems fine, ood dual exhaust with a hungry Pit Bull growl to it, ou don't ever want to take their food dish away once they start eating. My sons' pit is sweet as pie til she thinks you want her dish.Heck they don't even want to be petted while. eating later model Camaro mags with fairly worn tires, number of items were scrounged from it at the tow yard. it had been in. it's got a newer than original set of rear air shocks. never tested them. Due to serious illness last year, just can't continue the restorations on this vehicle. the previous owner did a good job putting a pretty healthy motor in it, cuz it rump rumps pretty good. Whatever they pulled the engine from, hey just stuck all the wires from that vehicle or whatever, hey had been driving it with no dash whatsoever, udt toggle switches, ut I found couple of decent used dashes on ebay, ust before I took sick but they still need to be installed. the cab floor panels have some holes Some older Body filler patches here and there have fallen out. Over the years. I have driven it a number of times testing my repairs. should be rewired and a better pair of seats, an't stand these, hey don't fold forward.. It has a racing lock out type floor shifter, still haven't learned to work right. I was just starting to get the hang of it when sickness struck hard. All the glass is great shape, indows roll up and down well..Just paid the registration til next March, ith a clean title in hand. This would make a great father and or daughter family project, hich is why I got it to begin with, ith my daughter, but the sickness kicked all that plan down. the drain.. It's got a lot of potential. and lot of completion already there. With the exception of the sluggish reverse due to the leak, his would make a great little hot rod. When my son towed it to where I'm staying now he spun a bunch of brodees in the empty lot across the street from where he picked it up. said he loved it, eminded him of his 69 elk he once had. Feel free to ask any questions, hough I 'm pretty slow now, will answer them asap. It starts up and runs well enough to help loading it onto a trailer, n forward gears, y brother says, it runs like a striped Ape!..Including initial cost and money spent on this project, 've managed to get well over 4 grand tied up in this baby. I'm presently located in Chico, A. if you'd like to get a look at it give me a question for date and time to come take a look, hanks and have a good time bidding
