DESCRIPTION
This one is going to be easy, ecause it is about as nice as gets, nd is 100% drive ready with nothing to do but enjoy it.
About 5 years ago, his project began with a clean, ry, outhwest Impala. The car was born a V8 Bubbletop, nd the date tag is intact and reads as follows:

What I have been able to uncover from it is the following:

The car was completely disassembled, nd everything on it was either restored, efurbished, eplaced, r discarded to create the vehicle you see in the 100 photos below.
The body is all steel, nd you take a 4” square felt-covered magnet over the entire painted surface like I did and not find ONE bondo panel, eer can or chicken wire patch, r any other backyard repair. This car is one of the few on eBay that actually really is LASER STRAIGHT, nd shows it from every angle.
Hood, runk, nd door gaps are exceptional, nd fit and finish of everything on the car is to the highest professional level.
The car was treated to a stunning, ooth-sprayed finish in Roman Red, nd except for a handful of minor little marks less than 4mm diameter that I can see on the entire cars exterior, t looks as good as the day it was sprayed!
Keep in mind, e have NOT detailed the car, o you are seeing it as it left the prior owners garage! Just imagine how amazing it will look when you take the time to clean it from front to back!!!
Glossy, lick, nd wet, he paint has been hand waxed and cleaned since completion and shows NO swirl marks or issues of any kind.
Glass is all in excellent condition, ith zero flaws, o discoloration, o fogging, nd no laminate issues.
During the build, ll new seals, eather stripping, oldings, nd gaskets were used, nd thanks to careful, limate-controlled storage since completion, ll show like new.
All of the chrome and bright work shows like brand new, ecause it either IS brand new, r it was sent out to be professionally chromed before installation. The stainless trim on the car was either replaced or completely refurbished and polished to perfection. The only two pieces that show any light markings are the rear window top channels on each side. They may simply polish out when you get the car home to detail it, ut me wiping them down with Quickshine spray didn’t make them show new like all the rest of it.
The SS Emblems, ide trim inserts, nd other emblems on the car were completely redone, nd all of them show like new.
Door handles, irrors, eck trim, ail lamp trim, ood trim and letters, nd the grill are all in exceptional condition and were renewed or replaced during the build.
The car rolls on Boyd Coddington chrome wheels, hich show very light patina in between the spokes which probably will detail out when you clean the car. There is no sign of curb damage, nd they are super clean and show-ready as you can see in the photos.
They are wrapped in modern radial tires sized 225/45R17 up front and 235/55R17 in the back. There are no flat spots, rior repairs, r known issues with the tires.
Overall the outside of the car is a solid and real 9 out of 10. They don’t come much nicer, leaner, nd straighter than this car.
Crack open the doors and you see an interior that is just as nice as the outside!
Door panels, ear panels, nd kick panels are all original, nd were completely refurbished along with the corresponding trim before being installed.
While the car was apart, ll new regulators and assorted hardware was installed, nsuring that the windows roll up and down with ease.
Carpeting is NOS replacement, nd still shows like new. It was installed over a layer of DynaMat for sound and heat proofing.
Seats were treated to NOS seat covers in the correct Red/White Cloth/Vinyl the car was born with, nd it shows like new, own to the new seatbelts and buckles.
Parcel shelf was replaced with an NOS unit, nd the headliner looks like it just came out of the factory!
Dash was completely redone in matching Roman Red, nd looks amazing! All of the trim was refurbished, estored, r replaced, ncluding the function center dash glove box, shtray, auge trim, nd the SS Impala GRAB BAR.
Two new gauges were installed on each side of the non-functional clock to monitor fuel and temp, nd they appear to be functioning, alibrated, nd correct.
The speedometer is accurate to within 1mph of my GPS tester, hich is a rarity in a classic car. I checked it at 15, 0, 0, nd 85, nd it was always within that 1mph range.
The Vintage Air slimline system is unobtrusively mounted under the dash, nd uses the factory controls for a clean look. It has been R134A since new, nd blows cold air when you need it, nd vented air when you don’t!
There are no signs of damage in the interior, nd no stains, dors, r any other issues either.
Like the outside of the car, he interior is a solid 9 out of 10, nd is really about as good as it gets.
Pop open the hood, nd you are met by a clean, how-ready engine bay!
The motor is a fully rebuilt 350CI V8 motor that was assembled with longevity, ase of maintenance, nd long-hauling in mind.
It is painted in a matching red, nd dressed with an Edelbrock polished aluminum intake topped by polished Edelbrock DUAL-QUAD carbs, nd a chrome air cleaner that matches the chrome valve covers.
A chrome fuel pressure gauge gleams alongside the chrome alternator and brake boosters, hile a polished A/C compressor aligns with the polished MARCH pulleys.
Headers, n assortment of other go-fast goodies, nd the normal compliment of dress up items also reside under the hood, nd the firewall and inner fenders are painted to match and finished to perfection as well.
Trim tag resides in the correct location, nd everything is installed cleanly, eatly, rofessionally, nd shows wonderfully to this day.
The engine starts easily, nd has a FANTASTIC exhaust note from the custom made dual exhaust system with box mufflers and chrome tips. The burble is crisp and clean, nd it has a mellow cruising note that never gets too loud unless you open that throttle wide!
It runs incredibly cool, hanks to the modern aluminum radiator, igh-flow water pump, nd massive fan system. Even with the AC on in our Florida heat, t won’t creep past 205, nd spends most of its life hovering in that 190 range while cruising or in town.
Snick the fully refurbished HEAVY DUTY Powerglide into gear, nd the car is ready to roll. Plenty of HP makes tire squealing an easy task, f you are into such things, ut the real beauty of the powertrain is on the open road, here the car seems to find happiness at 70 mph and ALWAYS has a ton of power on tap to pass, erge, r just let loose.
Shifting is smooth and clean, ith a mild shift kit and low rpm stall.
The car is equipped with a smoothed GM 10-bolt carrying 3.08 gears that was completely refurbished with new axle shafts, &P, eals, nd drum brake units before being treated to a black finish and installed in the original, leaned and refinished frame.
All new shocks, ounts, ushings, earings, eals, nd lines were used, nd a heavy-duty sway bar was installed as well.
Up front, rand new A-Arms with all corresponding hardware were installed, long with new shocks, prings, nd slotted and cross-drilled front disc brakes.
Again, ll new hardware, ushings, earings, ines, nd other goodies were used during the ground-up build, nd still show incredibly well today.
The pans on the car are incredibly solid, traight, nd clean, nd are treated to chassis black finish with a dusting of Roman Red to appear like it was painted at the factory. It is dirty now from being driven, ut it wouldn’t take much in the way of cleaning and wiping down to make this show-worthy at a major car event, ut right now it is just exceptionally clean.
Gas tank, uel lines, nd assorted hardware were all new during the build, s was all of the hardware used in reassembling the car. You will be hard-pressed to find another restoration and build on an Impala that is this complete and clean.
Other than normal dirt and road grime from being driven, he chassis is amazingly clean, nd shows as nicely as you would expect a recent, ully restored car would look.
The underside of the car is a solid 8 out of 10 right now, nd is simply a clean and detail away from being more!
Overall, his build shows as a solid 9 overall, nd will no-doubt be a 9.5 after you get it home and clean all the nooks and crannies from front to back when you detail it.
It surpasses 95% of the Impala that are available right now in its price range, nd is truly one of the cleanest, ell-executed examples of an Impala you will find.
