Description

I have personally owned this vehicle since 2003. When I bought it it had a mere 24,000 miles on it, nd now the vehicle has almost 91,000 (90,998). I have never had to replace anything minus the alternator. But, t is not near in perfect shape. If you are interested in a project, his is your car due to the fact that the work needed to make it beautiful is relatively minimal. I just do not have the time, nd I do not have the money, nd I will be moving soon so I have to break down and sell it. I hate to sell it. I really do, ut I want it to go to someone who will put more into than I have been able to over these past few years. If you are thinking of buying this car, hope you will enjoy it as I have over the past 13 years.
Specifics that you must know before bidding:

  • Currently, he car is not starting due to being in storage over the past five years. I have periodically started it and ran it, ut, or one reason or another, t refuses to start for me right now. The problem is likely minor seeing as the car ran flawlessly when I put it into storage. It really could be something as simple as the battery. But, t does turn, he fuel pump does crank, nd, or someone with some know how, t will run and likely start easy after being given a good shove in the right direction.
  • It is a "rebuilt title". The wreck it was involved in prior to my purchasing the vehicle was minimal. It occurred on the front passenger side, ith the only body part needing to be replaced the passenger side fender. Car drives straight and true, nd I have had no adverse side affects due to being rebuilt. In fact, consider this purchase to be one of the best I've ever made in my life.
  • The dashboard in the car is not optimal. It needs to be realigned and secured. The top panel is cracked, s you can see in the picture if you examine closely.
  • AC works and blows, nd the heat runs as expected as well, ut, ue to the above stated issue with the dashboard, t does not blow out of the vents due to misalignment. For someone with know-how, t is an easy fix.
  • The convertible top needs to be replaced, ut the motor works fine. The convertible top is set up for a heated glass window.
  • Power window motor on the drivers side needs to be replaced.
  • Air Bags need to be engaged, urrently non-operational.
  • Window switch control panel on driver's side needs to be replaced or fixed.
  • The gas gauge has gone wild with it reading that it has an over extended full tank of gas. All other gauges are fine.
  • Leather seats have minor scratches due to a variety of reasons, ut, therwise, hey are good for their age and might only need minor mending, econditioning, tc.
  • Minor things needs to be painted or replaced....very minor things like speaker grills, igarette ash tray cover, peakers, tc.
  • A gas line needs to be replaced. Currently it is mended and allows the car to drive, ut needs to be fixed before taking the car for a cruise due to obvious safety reasons.
  • One window is tinted, he other isn't due to a break in.
  • Tail lights are not stock.
  • Muffler needs to be added, urrently set-up for straight pipe. I was 18 when I did this.........
  • Car has been sitting in my garage since 2011. I have periodically started and ran the car, ut have not driven it on the roads since. So, herefore, can only state that the car drove fine when I was using it as a daily driver. Again, eeds a good shove to get it going, ut this is common in cars that have been in storage.
  • The paint is rather nice, ut, s you can see in the pictures, he car used to be red. Just another project that went unfinished, ut, gain, asily fixed. Also, here are some paint and body issues. A buddy of mine lifted the trunk a bit too much using poor leverage, nd, n doing so, racked the trunk just a little. Not very noticeable. A lawnmower launched a metal tent spike into the driver side door of the car. If you look closely at the pictures, ou can see it is also somewhat minor and easily fixed. Paint on the front bumper is cracking a bit in places due to the plastic body panels shifting and moving when my wife ran it into anembankment. Front nose pictures show a mark that is dark. It is merely stain and can be removed.
***A Strange Incident
  • An animal had traversed into the car when I had pulled it out for a monthly cleaning or while it was sitting in our garage. Unfortunately, he animal did not make it out. This is a minor issue, nd I had a friend with a number of rodents die in his old Mustang so it is common, ut I'd rather you know that the car has this current, ighly temporary issue. The animal is no longer in the car of course.
Again, view this car as a relatively easy project car for someone who is wanting a project that does not require a complete overhaul of the vehicle. It is a good car, nd, hen cleaned up, t looks good too. It has minor issues, ut overall it is a good starter project that I hope someone will enjoy.
