The wheelbase was shortened a full 3 inches while the hood was stretched and the back side chiseled into an aerodynamic fastback. The recessed rear window was raised to accommodate this bold new styling. The '68 & '69 Chevelles are the most aerodynamic of the breed. This example showcases a professional repaint in the correct Matador Red. The paint and body are in excellent condition. The chrome has been restored front to back. The rubber weatherstrip has also been replaced throughout. Under the hood is the L-78 inspired performance built 402 cubic inch V8. This is a very strong engine that motivates this A-bolt with authority. This powerplant features upgraded intake and exhaust along with a performance cam. Be sure you play our video. The intake is a vintage Winter's aluminum intake. The headers flow through custom 3-inch dual exhaust pipes & mufflers exiting with turn-down tips out back. This Super Sport is also equipped with power steering and power front disc brakes. The original trim identification plate is also in place. The interior will take you back to 1968. The upholstery is in excellent condition. bucket seats are equipped along with the center console & aircraft style shifter. The instruments are functional. The factory AM/FM Delco radio is still in place. The trunk is in good condition as are the inner quarter panels. The spare tire/wheel and jack are also in place. The glass is in good shape. left and right. The windows roll up and down correctly and seal up. The door undersides are in excellent condition. The door weatherstrip was replaced. The undercarriage showcases a host of work performed. The suspension has been previously rebuilt. The fuel tank has been replaced. The shocks were replaced. The exhaust system is custom.
