1986 Chevy C10 Shortbed Pickup
Beautiful truck with many extras and add-ons.
Runs strong and looks great! Paint is about 3 or 4 years old, but truck has been garage kept and well maintained.
Features Include
- Chevy 350 motor (not stock 305)
- Power Windows
- Power Locks
- A/C Heater
Upgrades/Repairs/Add-ons
-MSD 6 digital ignition system/wires
-New 20" rims and new tires
-New A/C System professionally installed June, 2016 (compressor, accumulator, orifice tube, evaprator core, blows cold)
-Edelbrock performer 1406 600 cfm electric choke carburetor, and edelbrock performer intake
-New Shorty Headers - black
-Exhaust - removed cat, dual Flowmasters, x-pipe, new tips
-New Dash Pad cover (the real kind, not carpet)
-Professionally replaced all components of all four brakes (front disc, back drums)
-Installed aftermarket tow package with receiver and 7-pin trailer hookup
-Aftermarket guages (engine temp, oil pressure, tachometer)
-Auxilary electric cooling fan to help with Texas heat in traffic or stop lights (stock belt-driven clutch fan is still main cooling source)
-Just had rear axle and differential flushed and resealed.
-New rear wheel bearings
-New turn signal switch
-New steering wheel
-Had valvetrain professionally serviced
-New rear suspension shackles
-Spray on bedliner
-CD, mp3 player, upgraded speaker system
Notes*
-The orignal engine setup had a carburetor and distributor that were ECM controlled, as well as stock gauges that communicated with the ECM. The ECM was removed, the carburetor and distributor replaced with non-computer controlled versions and the stock gauges replaced with aftermarket ones.
-Speedometer/odometer are not functioning (replaced cable, did not fix the problem. This is also why I did not list mileage, because the odometer hasn't moved since I've owned it)
-A/C Heater position control switch does not work. (The cold/heat switch works fine as well as the blower speed, but it only comes out of the main dash vents. You can manually open the blend door during winter for defrost position. It is vacuum controlled and there is a leak somewhere.
-The title is clear and in my name. It lists the truck as a 1986 GMC Sierra c1500 Custom Deluxe. (Apparently someone before me put Chevy emblems on the exterior after painting. One on the tailgate, one on the grill. Silverado emblems on either side. The people at the tax assessor's office said it was not a problem because the VIN# matches the title and the rest is just cosmetic. If you prefer the GMC emblems they are easy to replace.
-Power window motors still work but driver side is very slow. It is functioning but may need replacement soon.
