Here is the Corvette you have been waiting for a Show Stopping Matching Numbers Nut-and-Bolt restored 1962 Corvette. Car was completely restored from top to bottom using NOS parts or restoring the original. All the pictures were documented throughout the restoration which is pictured. This is one of the nicest C1 Corvettes you will find.
Paint and body are brand new and show quality color is Harvester Red and I have allthe paint codes. The work was done right as you can tell by the pictures, it taken all the way down to the bare fiberglass and then sealed and primed, and then redone. No corners were cut and everything was replaced or restored. All of the original chrome was removed and sent to a professional shop for rechroming to ensure correct fitment and it looks perfect, and is show quality. No aftermarket China Chrome on this beautiful Corvette. All of the lights, emblems, and bezels were replaced with NOS parts, new door handles, etc. Most of the stainless was replaced as well; car has one of the best paint jobs I have seen, no waves, no orange peel, and a mirror shine. It will stop any show as you pull in and have people looking in awe over this beauty.
The interior was pretty much completely replaced that included new seats, new covers, new foam and hardware. New door panels, new door panel hardware, new sill plates, new 4 speed pedal pads, new carpet, all new weatherstripping throughout, new door knobs, all of the gauges work with the exception of the speedometer, it was never hooked up after the transmission was rebuilt. All the other gauges work perfect including the tachometer, gas, amp, temp, oil, etc. New glove box lock with key. There is no convertible top or frame but the matching hardtop already painted to match the car is included. The clock is inoperable that is common on these.
The ORIGINAL MATCHING NUMBERS 327 was taken out and all the original 1962 parts were restored or replaced, and then reinstalled. The engine runs like brand new, the generator was rebuilt along with everything else, and a modern HEI distributor with Tach Drive was installed for dependability. This is one of the smoothest running Corvettes I have owned, just bump the key and it rumbles through the brand new 2” aluminum dual exhaust and manifolds.The transmission was changed from a powerglide to a Muncie 4-speed that was completely rebuilt and shifts like butter. Complete with a hurst shifter gives it that classic sports car feel.
The rear is the original with all new gears and seals installed and it runs out like it should, with 3:73 gears and a posi trac installed.
The cooling system was completely replaced with brand new water pump, hoses, radiator, shroud, etc.
All of the brakes were replaced that included new drums, shoes, hardware, lines, master cylinder, etc. The entire fuel system was replaced as well from the gas tank to the carburetor.
Underneath is super solid, definitely one of the nicest you will see with the frame rails super solid no evidence or rust or repair.
Trunk was all redone and is show ready, brand new weather-stripping was installed like on the rest of the car.
Wheels and tires are brand new Torq Thrust II with brand new tires. New lug nuts and chrome valve stems were installed as well.
Overall this is one of the nicest 1962 Corvettes you will find, look at the 200 pictures and let them do the talking, the car looks even better in person.
