1957 Chevrolet Nomad Bel-Air. Late 60s/early 70s gasser
This 1957 Nomad is a true 60s/70s era racer that retains its original decals from that time period. This car has about 90% of its original paint. The interior is also about 90% original including the factory padded dash and factory spotlight, both of which are rare factory options to find. I chose not to do a complete restoration of this vehicle in order to keep the originality of the vehicle. Its not everyday you find a vehicle in this kind of condition
In the areas where I replaced the floor sections (as needed) all the welds were butt welded not lap welded. The areas under the exterior moldings were purposely left as is, so as not the disturb the originality of the paint and decals. The car is virtually rust free and garaged stored.
Here is a description/list of parts that are now new or rebuilt:
350 Summit motor and GM aluminum heads (engine has the "Summit" stamp on the front passenger side pad)4 speed M-20 Muncie transmission1960s Hurst scattershield (still has original Hurst decals)Original 3.36 NON-posi rear end with new bearings All new brake lines and brakes with flexible brake linesNew fuel lines (front to back) with new sending unit and filterNew U-jointsNew tie rods, ball joints, A-frame bushings and shock absorbersNew front tires Back tires are in very good conditionNew Holley carburetor Complete tune up including pertronix electronic conversion kitOriginal radiator cleaned- runs coolRebuilt water pump Rebuilt 1 wire alternatorAll lights in working condition (interior and exterior)including factory back-up lightsAll gauges in working condition ( Line-lok is not hooked up)1960s slapper barsOriginal jackAll original glass on vehicle. The rear passenger sliding window was cracked when I purchased the car and has not gotten worseSeat belts front and back
There is a rear main seal leak which is not bad now but eventually will need to be fixed.
This is very beautiful period correct race car/gasser from the late 60s/early 70s. You will not be disappointed in its originality, quality in workmanship, attention to detail in preserving the car as is was 40+ years ago. I have owned the vehicle for nearly 4 years and do have the original Blue Title in my name and in hand. If any perspective buyers feels the need to send a inspector to see the vehicle in person, Iencourage thatandwill gladly setsome time aside for that process. Iwill gladly answer any and all questions, please call me at (210) 680-0561. If no answer please email your questions at coupesled@yahoo.com and I will respond in a timely manner.
Vehicle will not be released until funds have been cleared through my bank.
Thank you and Happy bidding
