This beautiful CustomStreetRod was built at a six figure cost(all receipts go with the car) and is now owned by a friend of mine, (Tom Speakman of Vancouver, WA 503 830-3796)he is the second owner and does not do eBay but is the person to contact with questions. The car is located in Vancouver, WA and has always been garage kept.
The reserve is less than half the build cost, so if your looking for a well built custom at a remarkable price this is a rare opportunity.Tom is selling the car to finish his '58 Chevy custom.
I have listed to the best of my knowledge the key points of the car and also pointed out in the pictures a few scratches in the paint. Feel free to call Tom with any and all question's he will be more than happy to provideany information you may need.
Bodyhas beenfilled, shaved, decked, nosed and smoothed. Electric door poppers, all chrome and stainless has been removed. Headlights, tail lights and gas fill arefrenched-in,custom gas tank. A Custom Hood thattilts forward and is electrically operated.
The paint is Twilight Bluein Blue Pearlwith Ghost Flamesin Purple Pearl.
Frame is a modified 1941 Chevy. Fat-Man front clip w/Heidts upper and lower control arms, front suspension is Air Ride Technology's Shock Wave air ride shocks andcan be raised and lowered with the flip of a switch approx. 6". Air tank and pump are mounted in the trunk.
Rear end is a Ford 9" with a 3:50 ratio and posi-traction. Rear suspension is custom leaf springs and traction bars, with brand new shocks.
Rims are American Racing 17" in front and 18"on the rear. Tires are B.F. Goodrich, 215-60ZR17 and 255-45ZR18. Rims and Tires are brand new and were installed July 2016.
Engine is a 383 Stroker and was built by Bill Schnell of Schnell Automotive. Itis a SBC with 4 bolt main bored .30 over, SCAT 383 crank, SCAT 4340 SCAT I-beam rods and 10.5 to 1 flat top pistons. The heads are Pro Top-Line 200 Hi-Pro with Scorpion Roller Rockers and Erson valve springs. Cam shaft is Erson E110998 hydraulic roller. Ignition is Mallory Dist. with Mallory HyFire Digital Ignition control unit. Crosswind Air Gap manifold with modified Holley 750 SMI, Sean Murphy Induction Carb. The computer design performance at the flywheel is approx. 500HP at 6400 RPM. It has a3" Dual Exhaust system all the way from the Custom Headersthrough Flow Master mufflersto the Exhaust Tips.
Transmission is a Turbo 350 built to HI+PRO Stage 2 (7/13/2010) by Clay's Transmission in Sandy, Oregon. B&M Star Shifter trans linkage, B&M line lock. Hughs 2500 stall converter, B&M Trans cooler.
Brakes are GM disk brakes front and Ford drum brakes rear. 1977 Corvette power master cylinder.
Interior is custom by Jim's Custom Upholstery in Milwaukie, OR. Graycloth with dark blue carpet, custom console, bucket seats and Alpine Stereo mounted in the customroof console. VDO gauges mounted in smoothed dash.
