There is a certain beauty in honesty, especially when it comes to this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS. It's a real-deal Rally Sport, with a correct V8 heart, and a real period correct vibe all around. And when something this nice is also one of the most affordable first-year Camaros around, then you know it will disappear quickly.Butternut Yellow is a great subtle Camaro color. It really gives some nice distinction to the darker elements on this classic first gen., like the dual stripes, factory-correct black vinyl roof, dark taillight surrounds, and those unmistakable RS-package concealing the headlights (remember this is the only year for the factory electrically-operated door). If you're thinking all of this looks particularly nice, you'd be right. A more recent application of the paint means a modern clearcoat that looks great in the sunshine. And of course, a super-straight body always makes for the best canvas. These first-year Camaros have some great brightwork with the thin bumpers, full-length rocker panel moulding, and glass trim. But this one takes it to a new level with classic Cragar SS wheels a cool addition that would not be out of place on the best muscle in the late '60s on.The interior is one of the coolest time warps you'll ever find. It starts with the factory-correct bucket seat interior. This is the upgraded deluxe trim, so you get the correct white streak in the vinyl seats. In between is the desirable center console that's also on the original trim tag. All of this looks nice and dark right down to the thick carpeting. But it's not a total midnight appearance, with plenty of bright trim on everything from the gearshift to the cool original RS wheel. And the one modern upgrade, the AM/FM/CD stereo has a really nice colorful glow. The original gauges are set in the deep dual pod design. While you're checking those out, don't forget to peek at the odometer. Yes, we believe the 18,070 miles are accurate. That's an amazing average of less than 370 miles per year!Under the hood is Chevrolet's trusty and powerful 327 cubic-inch V8. It's dressed nicely with the correct Chevy orange paint on the block, intake, and valve covers. No outrageous add-ons, just the cool factory-style 327 stickers in a package with tidy belts, wires, and hoses. If you've seen too many Camaros that get too wild with their engine bays, an exceptionally honest and well-presented one like this will actually get you excited. This kind of good maintenance means it fires up with ease and runs like a good small-block should. Plus, the dual exhaust adds a little performance flair to you drive, and the Powerglide automatic transmission makes it an easy choice for weekend cruising.A low mileage, first-year Camaro coupe with all the right design touches to make it a classic that's easy to love. And at this price, there's going to be plenty of suitors. Call now!!
