1998 Chevy 3/4 ton cargo van. There are two front seats and the rear is used for cargo. The van is powered by a 6.5L detroit turbo diesel (same as used in the military H1 Hummer). The odometer reads 286385 however the engine was replaced 03/2015 with a documented 145,650 miles on the replacement engine. The current miles on the replacement engine is 153,494. The radiator, oil cooler, starter and starter ring gear were also replaced at the same time. Engine was replaced due to blown head gasket. I have owned this van for the past 7 years and have towed a 10K rated trailer and a full van with ease. I chose this van because of the diesel engine's towing capabilities and it didn't disappoint. I changed the oil/filter every 4000 miles with shell rotella. The tires were put on last winter and it handles the snow very well. I just replaced the headliner as the original was coming down and was easier to replace. A power steering line near the pump as a leak as well a connector at the oil cooler. The van has rust at the lower doors as expected with Michigan winter driving. Overall a solid dependable van and ready for continued work.
