Description

This is a wonderful truck. I'm in San Diego County. I purchased it in Virginia two summers ago from a private party. Routine Maintenance has all that has been required. It is powerful! It is smooth. Excellent economy. Best year ever! The motor is perfect. The tranny is perfect. No noises. Handles perfectly. Will drive anywhere and back! You will love this truck. (I am getting older and don't need the vehicle any longer!)Only small flaws include the hood which needs some attention. (I was going to put a mylar chip protector over the damaged paint!) The drivers seat is not cracked but the bolster is worn. Call Len - 760-535-6421 for more information. Perfectly Running Duramax Allison combo. Best year! No Urea tank. It is very powerful. It has never towed other than the once a year trailering of our ride-on lawn mower for service. It has the best engine transmission set-up of the Duramax - Allison combo. Why is the 2006 the best year ever for the 2500HD?Here is the description of the 2006 Duramax LBZ - Allison Combo from 2006 - 2007 GMC SIERRA. CHEVROLET SILVERADO ( at duramaxdieselspecs web)The LBZ was introduced for 2006. eventually phasing out the LLY. With it came a huge leap in performance. offering 360 hp and 650 lb-ft. The 6 speed Allison 1000 automatic was available mated to the engine. The 2006-2007 model year pickups did not have any major reliability concerns and simply continued the progression of the Duramax engine family. On the 2007. 5 switch to the LMM Duramax2007. 5 - 2010 GMC SIERRA. CHEVROLET SILVERADOMidyear for the 2007 model year. GM launched the LMM Duramax. The goal of this engine was to meet strict emissions regulations. while offering up a small performance increase as collateral. The LMM produced 365 hp and 660 lb-ft. Fuel economy suffered dearly. caused by the adoption of a diesel particulate filter and active regeneration. To be fair. both Dodge and Ford trucks experienced similar complaints regarding poor fuel economy for the same reasons. Beyond that. the trucks are reliable and the DPF's are not typically prone to clogging issues.
