1977 77 CHEVY CHEVROLET CAMARO LT RS RALLYE SPORT - 350 AUTO CONSOLE
Up for sale is a 1977 Chevy Camaro LT RS. This is a true RS / Rally Sport car that had a recent repaint that looks great. The cowl tag proves this. It has always been garaged most of its life.
It has a brand new 350 in it with headers. I was told it was a 350 buthaven'tconfirmed the casting number. The motor starts up turn-key and it will go in reverse. The components under the hood look shiny and new. It doesn't have any exhaust past the headers so it's loud (but sounds good). The entire drive line looks to be in great shape. The rear end has a metal tag on it which says"Use Limited Slip Diff Lube Only", so I assume it is a Posi rear end(but I don't know for sure). It has an auto transmission which needs to be looked at as it's only goes into reverse. All linkage looks to be there but has a lot of slop/play in it. The transmission looks brand new so it may be linkage but I haven't fully looked into it. I did a find a guy locally who sells nice rebuilt transmissions for $450.
Body is in excellent complete shape. Minimal paint imperfections here and there. I'm not a fan of the wheels but the tires are new and in great shape. The doors hinge mechanisms and lock cylinders on the car feel like new. The doors don't sage and shut with ease compared to most cars from this generation.
The original black interior is in great shape and is complete except for its missing the headliner, carpet, and package tray. All of these can be purchased for under $250 total online. Seats are in greatoriginalshape with some small tears on the driver seat. The dash is in excellent shape (No cracks) and I believe its original. The floorboards have some pinhole rust spots but overall very solid. They definitely don't have to be replaced in my opinion. It was a factory AC car but the ac components under the hood are missing.
Comes with 2 boxes of extra parts, trim, seat belts, etc. Also it has the original bumper jack in the trunk. I don't believe the trunk has any rust holes.
Rust is minimal on the car. It's an East Tennessee car. I purchased it from a guy who bought it in 1978 used(The car was 1 year old with 8k miles when he bought it).
It may need a little transmission work to get it on the road. This car will be worth a lot after the interior is completed too.
I've never driven forward in it as the transmission won't shift but I did load it on the car hauler trailer in reverse.
Buyer MUST contact me within 24 hours of hitting "Buy it Now" or when the auction completes. I will be leaving town on August 27th and Returning September 12th so pickup must occur before or after those dates!
