Description

Here is a nice original 1965 Corvette. The only change I see is that this car was born Silver Pearl, it is now Red. It is a 327c.i 250 h.p., with a powerglide automatic behind it. Everything appears to be original and numbers matching. The block is an HO Block with it's original serial number still stamped on it. The heads are 461, dated right before the engine assembly date. The expansion tank is original, the alternator is original and I believe everything else is too. This car just came out of storage, sat for 15 years. It has been gone through, two new rear calipers, engine and transmission oil and filter change, tune-up, greased. The car runs very well. It is tight, solid and runs down the road very straight. The mileage sits at 34,000, the odometer does not work, the speedometer does. The title says true mileage unknown, but in my heart, I believe it cannot be much more than the original 34,000. The car just runs great. I believe the interior to be all original, it is in very good condition but both seat bottoms are starting to tear at the seam. Driver side worse than the passenger. The paint is very nice, it does have flaws, a couple very small cracks and chips in the paint and a line where a hardtop was. Other than cleaning it, I have not touched it up, nor buffed it out. I believe with these two things done, the paint would look very, very good. The chrome appears to be all original, shines well, does have very light pitting in some small areas. The softtop is good, could use a good cleaning. The frame is solid, it could use paint, does have surface rust. What is not working: odometer, radio, clock and tachometer (still has tach drive distributor, I believe is original). This is a very original car that has not been messed with, outside of color change and Corvette script valve covers. The tires are excellent, the gaps all look very nice and tight. Hard to find them unrestoredlikethis one is. I ALSO HAVE THE ORIGINAL HUBCAPS, they are in good shape, need a good cleaning and the black needs repainted in the centers. I also have an assembly manual that goes with the car. Also, the original owners manual and AM/FM manual are in the glovebox. Headlights work fine, power antenna works fine, windows roll up and down nicely and fit well. The glass is good. The only other thing to pick on is it does have an oil leak at the bottom of the engine. I just drove this car 60 miles a week ago in 93 degree heat, and it performed flawlessly.

I have a very reasonable reserve set on the car, it is priced to sell.

I did not plan to sell this car, the only reason I am selling as a car that I have been wanting has come up for sale. Nice original unmolested Corvette.
