Hello interested person,
I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500, has the legendary LB7 Duramax Diesel engine. Truck has 182000 miles clocked in. It's an extended cab short bed real well taken cared of, mechanically in superb condition and in good cosmetic conditions decent interior as well. Everything works.
You won't have to do any kind of repairs at all for many many miles, just the common stuff like tires, brakes, oil, AT flush ect you know. I've personally owned this truck about 25k miles. Been through many adventures with it, traveled a lot and is my daily driver, never towed with it and I drive like an old man. Guarantee you this truck had the most easy time of its life under my owner ship. Only the best oil and fuel additives I could find (optilube).
Mechanical description;
Real nice strong engine, starts up and goes beautifully A/T Shifts great. Manual 4x4, that I used once when I went to flagstaff, AZ there was a blizzard and had to engage it, was sweet sailing. It's stock engine wise, no tuning or anything like that was ever done. But I did install a 95 gph fass pump with a fuel sump for great fuel flow and better filtration and water removal. As well as using a good quality parker filter at the stock filter head. It's a good Bullet proof fuel system, plus the best fuel additive I could buy (optilube) still have a half full jug of it will go with the truck when you buy. Did injectors about 3000 miles ago, doesn't smoke at all even if you try. Was the best injectors I could get, OEM rebuilt from Bosch have documentation on that.. Didn't even wait for engine to smoke, was only hazing a bit you could see it at night as cars head lights were beaming out the haze. I even installed an egt gauge to monitor engine health internally.. Everything done to this truck is preventative measures for longevity you will enjoy for very many thousands of miles. And with the fass You can give it a good tune and have an egt gauge to monitor things in safe parameters.
Has semi new cooper tires about 5k on them.
Rebuilt hydrobooster back when I first bought it. Needs nothing.
Cosmetic description;
Pretty good looking truck no major accidents noted few digs happened under previous ownership. On front bumper lip, door and bed. front windows will need tint job.
Interior description;
Good cloth interior nothing ripped just some stains on the selling normal wear. The center console door is broken and the rear view mirror compass future has never worked since owned I never really cared for it but I want to lay everything out on the table for you to know.
This truck has had nothing but good care and attention never really needed anything until it hazed and just decided not to mess around and replaced injectors very recently they are practically new not even broken in. Other than that it has just the oil change and tires and an alignment (recently too. have documentation for that).
I lost 2 of the center hub caps somewhere driving so I replaced all 4 with generic ones. Will have the 2 Chevy ones go with the truck so you can find another pair later on.
I am sure you won't need to do anything for this truck for a long time. Other than the fluid services it should get.
Was my travel rig, never towed with it.
-was not part of a fleet. that's all bs
thank you for looking please feel free to ask questions on any matter.
