I am selling my 1979 corvette greenwood turbo GT, I have owned this car for a little over a year now and its time to put my daughter through college so it has to go. I am not a photographer but did my best to take some nice pictures so you can get an idea of how nice this car is. The paint on the car is what I would say a 9.5 out of 10, has absolutely no rock chips anywhere that I can find, paint is smooth and glossy with hardly any defects.Front tireshave been replacedat some point and are like new, rear tires have lots of tread but appear to be possibly the original tires for the car and show some very minordry cracking but never go flat or low, I havedriven the car mostly around town but have been on a couple 60 or so mile trips with noissues. Themotor is the factory350 with the greenwood installed RAJAY turbo, starts and runs great sounds nice thru the flowmaster mufflers. Transmission is the original 350 turbo but has had some work done at some point, this tranny shifts very firmly and has no trouble breaking tires loose going into second and occasionally into third on a good day. Rearend is still factory also but I believe it has had lower gears installed, at 60 mph you will be pushing 3000 rpm which is typical of a 4:10 gear ratio and I don't believe that is factory. The interior is very nice overall, the driver seat has a very small wear spot on the seam of the backrest where you get in and out but has been touched up and isn't very notiable. All of the gauges work properly except the clock and it just works when it wants to which isn't very often. The radio works fine and has had newer speakers installed in the dash and there are no rear speakers but the wiring is back there. There is also a boost guage for the turbo and I forgot to mention earlier that the turbo has the water injection into the manifold to help with pre detonation in the cylinders, this was the fix in 1979, it is a pressure switch in the manifold that has a hose going to a pump that sucks from the washer tank. The wheels are in very nice condition but do show a little fading if you inspect them up clos, keep in mind this is a 37 year old vehicle and it has not been restored but I think it has been repainted at some point. All of the door seals and rubbers are in good condition and not dry and cracked like most older cars T-tops seal very good and only leak if you let it sit out in a huge downpour and then barely leaks on passenger side where they meet the side glass in front. I have tried to describe this car the best I can, I have bought and sold cars and trucks for years and there is nothing worse than buying something online or over the phone only to travel hundreds of miles to find a misrepresented piece of junk, this is not that car I don't believe anyone will be disappointed with what they find here. I also have a good friend that transports vehicles all over the us and can help with shipping if needed, that being said it is quite a job to load this on a trailer as low as the front is and as far as it is in front of the tires. That's it folks good luck and happy bidding.
