For sale in our Chicago showroom is this very unique 2005 Chevrolet Corvette with an Anteros conversion performed by N2A, which stands for “No Two Alike.†The Anteros comes powered by the same 6.0l LS2 V8 and 6-speed manual transmission as a factory Corvette, but that is where the similarities end. The conversion takes a factory-fresh Corvette and removes all of the fiberglass body panels. Once the vehicle is down to the bare frame, a set of carbon-composite panels are then installed to give the Europeanesque styling of the Anteros. The interior keeps the same shapes, but is completely redone in higher quality materials, including Italian carpeting and higher-grade leather. When new, the total vehicle after the conversion had a sticker price of around $150,000.
The push-button start turns the engine over with ease. The exhaust changes from soft burble when cruising all the way to a violent roar at full throttle. Originally from Arizona, the tinted windows and air-conditioner in this vehicle keep you cool on the hot summer days, and the removable targa top brings in just the right amount of wind when the weather is the perfect temperature. The soft leather fits like a glove, yet still breathes well. The C6 Corvette was regarded as Chevrolets break through into a “good†interior, by finally stepping away from all of the plastic pieces commonly found in GM vehicles. This conversion package takes this interior to the next level, even rivaling the interiors from exotic manufacturers overseas.
Although the drive line and chassis are straight from GM, the majority of this vehicle has been carefully massaged, replaced, customized, and otherwise improved to make this truly stunning mesh of American power and European styling. Options include: Air-Conditioning, AM/FM/CD, Targa Top, Cruise-Control, Heated Seats, Lumbar Support, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Seats, Power Windows, Anti-Lock Brakes, Telescopic Wheel, Traction Control, Keyless Entry, Seat Belts, Heads Up Display, Driver Airbag, Passenger Airbag, Anti-Theft System, Leather Interior, Radial Tires, Alloy Wheels, and a Numbers Matching Engine and Transmission.
