******Thanks for looking at my Chevelle. I have been playing around with cars for nearly 20 years. I am not a mechanic or a car restorer. but I do love preserving cars and cruising them around. With that being said: This good example of a 2 door 1970 Chevelle. This is a nice car – but it is what some people refer to as a "20-footer. " From what I was told from the previous owner I bought it from. I am the 3rd owner. It was originally put into service in Missouri and driven by a “little old lady” until her family sold it in the mid-2000’s to the guy I bought it from in Iowa. I have owned the car since January 2014. The car was originally a 6cyl/Powerglide car. In Sept 2014. a freshly built 350 & TH350 was swapped in. I have only driven the car 300 miles since the swap. Power drum brakes with new booster in Sept 2014Front Suspension Rebuilt Sept 2014Info from Cowl Tag: “13437” – Base Model Chevelle – not a 300 series. not a Malibu… A bare bones base. Trim “751” – Black interior. no options. bench seats. Paint Code “34” – Misty Turquoise. Not original paint. but it’s close to the original color. “FL2” Factory – Built in Flint. MIPaint is in better than average shape. The previous owner did some minor body work before the previous paint job and there is Bondo around the wheel lip on both quarters and on the lower part of both fenders behind the front wheels (magnet test). Again. I would refer to the car as a 20-footer. Bumpers and chrome trim are all there and in better than average condition. 15” Chevy Rally Wheels Interior is in average condition for the age of the car. Seats belts are aftermarket - but I do have a set of OEM seat belts that will be included with the sale. All windows are in good shape and roll down. Headliner and carpet are in really good shape. door panels and kick panels are a little below average and may need replaced if you are looking to show the car. 89. xx miles – they appear to be original given the all-around condition of the car. All lights. turn signals and gauges work. Underside of car is solid and generally rust free. Car steers good going down the road. A power steering gearbox was added to the car when all the work was done in Sept 2014. The gearbox was filled with fluid and capped off. I have not installed the PS pump and have only cruised around as manual steering. You will have to add this yourself. Trunk is clean and painted in GM splatter paint. Trunk floor appears to have been replaced. Gas tank has been replaced. This car for someone looking to clone an “SS” or for someone who wants a ’70 Chevelle to cruise around in. This is by no means a show car as it sits. but with a little TLC it can be with little time. The usual eBay disclaimers: Sold as is. where is. I will help load the car with your transporter of choice - I can give you recommendations of carriers that I have used. No warranty stated or implied. Come view the car and judge for yourself or hire an inspector. Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction listing at anytime. Clear title in hand. Wire transfer or certified cashier's check from a known bank must clear before I will release car and transfer title. Feel free to message me any questions that you have. This is a 1970 Chevelle - they are not making any more of them!
